    Composition:Fennel fruit.
    Description:

    The fruit is a carpus which splits into two half-fruits (merikarpia). Merikarpii - oblong, almost cylindrical, bare. At the top there are remains of a five-toothed calyx and a superimposed disk with two divergent columns.

    The external side of the mericarp is convex, the inner side is flat. Each merikarpii with five strongly protruding longitudinal ribs: three of them are on the convex side and two are more developed - on the sides. The seed in the merikarpii is one, fused with the pericarp. The length of the fruit is 4-10 mm, width is 1.5-4 mm. The fruit color is greenish-brown. The smell is strong, fragrant. The taste of the water extract is sweetish-spicy.

    Pharmacodynamics:Fennel fruits contain 3-6% essential oil, in which up to 60% anethole, fatty oil, protein substances.
    Spasmolytic agent of plant origin. Infusion of fennel fruits, has carminative, spasmolytic, as well as expectorant effect. Has weak diuretic properties, promotes increased lactation.
    Pharmacological properties of the drug are due, to a large extent, reflex reactions associated with irritation sensitive nerve endings of the gastrointestinal tract and respiratory tract.
    Indications:

    The drug is used in adults and children with flatulence (as a carminative agent), intestinal colic, and as an expectorant in complex therapy for inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, whooping cough).

    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity.
    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit for the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and the baby.

    Consultation of the doctor is necessary.

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 grams (1.5 tablespoons) of fruit are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water,cover with a lid and insist on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Infusion is taken orally in a warm form 3-4 times a day:

    - adults and children over 12 years old - about 1/3 cup;

    - children from 7 to 12 years - 1-2 tablespoons;

    - Children from 3 to 6 years - 1 tablespoon;

    - Children up to 3 years - 1 / 2-1 teaspoon.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
    Overdose:Cases of overdose have not been registered to date.
    Interaction:Not described.
    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    The drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration and speed psychomotor reactions (including, control of vehicles, work with moving mechanisms).

    Form release / dosage:Fruits are whole.
    Packaging:

    To 50, 75 or 100 g in a pack of cardboard with an inner bag of paper, polyethylene or polypropylene. Full text of the medical manual application is applied to the pack.

    Storage conditions:

    In a dry place protected from light.

    Ready infusion - in a cool place no more than 2 days.

    Keep out of the reach of children.
    Shelf life:3 years.
