    Composition:

    In 1 bag contains:

    active ingredient: psyllium oval seed shell (Plantago ovata Forssk) 3.53 g;

    auxiliary components: sucrose 0.527 g, sodium alginate 0.276 g, sodium citrate 0.247 g, maltodextrin 0.193 g, citric acid monohydrate 0.137 g, aspartame 0.030 g, orange flavor (natural) [multicomponent mixture of aromatics, maltodextrin, gum arabic, alpha-tocopherol] 0.060 g.

    Description:

    A powder consisting of a variety of forms from yellowish white to light brown fragile pieces of the oval seed coat of the plantain, from inclusions of various brown forms of other parts of the seed and from inclusions of auxiliary components.     Pharmacodynamics:

    The hydrophilic fibers contained in a shell of psyllium oval, increase in volume due to water absorption and causes a reflex enhancement of motility, restoring the normal activity of the colon. Gelforming fraction promotes softening of stools and acts as a "lubricant", facilitating emptying bowel constipation and painful defecation in patients with perianal lesions.

    Indications:

    Acute and chronic constipation, anal fissures, hemorrhoids, postoperative period with interventions in the anorectal area (to create a softer stool consistency).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, organic narrowing of the gastrointestinal tract, intestinal obstruction, abdominal pain of unknown origin, sucrase-isomaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, decompensated diabetes, children up to 18 years. The drug should not be used in patients with phenylketonuria.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible according to the doctor's prescription.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside.

    For 1 sachet 1-3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals or 2 hours after meals. Before using the contents of 1 sachet pour a glass of cold water, stir and immediately drink, then drink another glass of liquid.

    A course of treatment:
    - with acute constipation - until the disappearance of constipation (1-2 days);
    - with chronic constipation - up to 4 weeks, after a week break, it is possible to repeat the course;
    - with anal cracks and hemorrhoids - until the absence of discomfort during defecation (up to 4 weeks, after a one-week break, a repetition of the course is possible);
    - in the postoperative period with interventions in the anorectal area - according to doctor's recommendations (up to 4 weeks).

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible.

    In the first days of treatment, there may be a feeling of overflow in the abdomen.
    Overdose:

    Cases of an overdose have not been revealed.

    Interaction:

    Do not prescribe simultaneously with antidiarrheal drugs, as well as with drugs that depress the bowel motility.

    Fibralax can slow the absorption of concomitant medications. It should be observed interval of 30-60 minutes between the intake of Fibralax and other drugs.

    Special instructions:

    When taking the drug should drink at least 1.5 liters of fluid per day. Incorrect intake (with insufficient fluid) can lead to irritation of the esophagus or intestine, especially in the elderly.

    In patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, a reduction in the insulin dose may be required.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.
