Composition:

5 g of granules (1 sachet) contains:

active substance: powder shells seed plantain oval (Plantago ovata Forssk.) 3.25 g;

Excipients: sucrose 0.4795 g, citric acid 0.4350 g, dextrin 0.2940 g, sodium alginate 0.2515 g, sodium citrate 0.2250 g, sodium chloride 0.0150 g, sodium saccharinate 0.0100 g, orange flavoring 0.0400 g.

5 g of granules contains the amount of digestible carbohydrates corresponding to 0.064 bread units.

Description:

Pellets of light brown color with inclusions from brown particles of the skin and adjacent cells of the shell of dried oat seed (Plantago ovata Forssk.).

Pharmacodynamics:

Hydrophilic fibers from the shell of psyllium seeds keep the fluid in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby increasing the volume and softening the consistency of the stool.The drug restores normal bowel function, regulating its activity and facilitating the passage of intestinal contents.

Pharmacokinetics:No information.

Indications:Constipation (including pregnancy), anal fissures, hemorrhoids, postoperative period with interventions in the anorectal area (to create a softer stool consistency), functional diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug, organic strictures of the gastrointestinal tract, intestinal obstruction, decompensated diabetes, children under 12 years.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Limitations and contraindications for taking the drug during pregnancy and lactation are not present.

Dosing and Administration:

Inside, adults and children over 12 years old - 1 packet or 1 teaspoon 2-6 times a day. Before use, 1 packet or 1 teaspoon of granules is poured into a glass, which is slowly filled with cold water (150 ml), stirred and immediately drunk, then washed down with another glass of liquid.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions.

In the first days of treatment, there may be an increase in flatulence and the appearance of a feeling of overflow in the abdomen.

Overdose:

Cases of an overdose have not been revealed.

Interaction:

Do not prescribe simultaneously with antidiarrheal drugs, as well as with drugs that depress the bowel motility.

You should observe an interval of 30-60 minutes between taking Mukofalk and other drugs.

In patients with insulin-dependent diabetes, a reduction in the insulin dose may be required.

Special instructions:

When taking the drug should drink at least 1.5 liters of fluid per day.

The use of the drug does not affect the ability to carry out potentially dangerous activities requiring an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).
