    • Pharmacodynamics:Flit Phospho-soda is a salt laxative, the action of which is based on the increase in the osmotic processes of water retention in the lumen of the small intestine. The accumulation of fluid in the ileum leads to an increase in peristalsis and subsequent cleansing of the intestine.
    Pharmacokinetics:The drug has only local, local action, so such studies are not considered necessary. Sodium phosphate is poorly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, however, a small absorption of sodium and phosphate ions takes place and depends on the dose of the drug.

    Indications:- preparation for endoscopic or radiographic examination of the colon
    - preparation for surgical intervention on the large intestine
    Contraindications:Do not use in patients with the following diseases or suspected of them:
    - partial or complete obstruction of the intestine;
    - violation of intestinal integrity;
    - megacolon (congenital or acquired);
    - Acute inflammatory bowel diseases;
    - Heart or kidney failure.
    Do not use if there is nausea, vomiting, pain in the abdominal cavity.
    Do not use if hypersensitivity to active ingredients or excipients.
    Do not use in children under 15 years of age.
    Pregnancy and lactation:Because of a lack of reliable information on the ability to cause fetal malformation or toxic influence on it, this drug should not be consumed during pregnancy.
    Since sodium phosphate can penetrate into breast milk, it is necessary to abandon breastfeeding immediately after taking the first dose of the drug and for the next 24 hours after taking the last dose.
    Dosing and Administration:The drug is prescribed for adults and adolescents over 15 years. Older patients use doses similar to adults.
    To start taking Fleet Phospho-soda follows the day preceding the appointed procedure.
    If the procedure is scheduled for the time before noon, follow the instructions for the morning appointment. If the procedure is scheduled for the afternoon, follow the instructions for the daily appointment.

    7:00 Instead of breakfast, drink at least one glass (or more) of "light liquid" or water.

    The first dose of the drug: is taken directly after breakfast. To do this, dissolve the contents of one bottle (45 ml) in half a glass (120 ml) of cold water. Drink the solution and drink one (or more) glass (240 ml) of cold water.
    13:00 Instead of dinner, you should drink at least three glasses (720 ml) of "light liquid" or water, if you want, you can drink more liquid.
    19:00 Instead of dinner, drink at least one glass of "light liquid" or water. If desired, you can drink more liquid.
    The second dose of the drug: is taken directly after dinner. Dissolve the contents of the second vial (45 ml) in half a glass (120 ml) of cold water.
    Drink the solution and drink with a glass (240 ml) of cold water. If desired, you can drink more liquid.
    If necessary, you can drink "light liquids" and water until midnight.

    Side effects:The most common undesirable effects are: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating and diarrhea, asthenia, weakness, headache, dizziness, allergic reactions.
    Some patients at risk may develop dehydration and / or electrolyte imbalance (hyperphosphataemia, hypocalcemia, hypokalemia, hypernatremia, acidosis).
    Very rarely, when endoscopic on the mucous sigmoid and rectum, single or multiple aphthus-like formations were observed. These anomalies are not clinically significant and spontaneously disappear without treatment.
    Overdose:Cases of death were reported, to which hyperphosphatemia was led with concomitant hypocalcemia, hypernatremia and acidosis, after the use of Fleth Phospho-soda in very large doses in children and patients with constipation.
    At the same time there are cases of complete recovery after an overdose of this drug,when it was accidentally given to children or used in patients with constipation (one of the last received a 6-fold dose of the drug).
    Interaction:Use with caution in patients taking calcium channel blockers, diuretics, lithium-based drugs and other drugs that can affect the level of electrolytes, since there is a possibility of developing hyperphosphataemia, hypocalcemia, hypokalemia, and dehydration in the presence of hypernatremia. acidosis.
    During the reception of Flethof-soda, the absorption of drugs in the gastrointestinal tract may be delayed or even completely stopped. The effect of regular medications (eg, oral contraceptives, antiepileptics, antidiabetic antibiotics) may be reduced or absent altogether.
    Special instructions:The drug is not used as an agent for the treatment of constipation.
    With caution, the drug should be used for elderly and debilitated patients, patients with reduced kidney function, heart disease, colostomy, as well as patients on a diet low in salt because there is a possibility of hyperphosphataemia, hypocalcemia, hypokalemia,dehydration on the background of hypernatremia, acidosis.
    The patient should be warned about the expected frequent fluid stool.
    Very rarely, endoscopy on the sigmoid and rectum mucosa showed single or multiple aphthus-like changes. These were either lymphoid follicles, or discrete inflammatory lesions, or epithelial changes caused by the training. These anomalies are not clinically significant and spontaneously disappear without treatment.
    Rarely, an extension of the QT-interval on the electrocardiogram can be observed as a result of electrolyte imbalance in the type of hypocalcemia or hypokalemia.
