АТХ:V.07.A.B Solvents and dilution solutions, including irrigation solutions
Pharmacodynamics:Water is a solvent and is used for the preparation of liquid dosage forms for injection. Has no pharmacological activity, does not enter into chemical interaction with medicinal substances. Used for the preparation of injection and infusion solutions. Water is compatible with many substrates, the dissolution of which creates optimal conditions for the manifestation of their maximum efficiency.
Pharmacokinetics:The body is normal water is excreted by the kidneys, intestines, with sweat and with breathing. With the introduction of infusion and injection solutions, transfusion of electrolytes homeostasis is maintained by the kidneys.
Indications:Preparation of sterile solutions from powders, lyophilizates, concentrates by dissolution for infusions or injections.
Dilution of drugs for injection.
XXI.Z40-Z54.Z51.4 Preparatory procedures for subsequent treatment, not elsewhere classified
Contraindications:Water for injection is not used for the preparation of medicinal products, if the instruction indicates another solvent.
Carefully:Drugs prepared with water for injection should be administered in doses and at the rate specified in the instructions for the use of these medicines.
Pregnancy and lactation:There are no contraindications to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Dosing and Administration:The preparation of medicinal solutions with water for injection should be carried out under aseptic conditions, during which during the opening of ampoules, the filling of syringes and containers with medicinal product sterility must be observed.
Side effects:Not registered.
Interaction:When mixed with other drugs (infusion solutions, concentrates for the preparation of infusion, injection solutions, powders, dry substances for the preparation of injection), there may be a pharmaceutical incompatibility, which is manifested by precipitation, color change, clouding or heating of the solution. It is necessary to have visual control when mixing solutions.
Special instructions:Water for injection is not directly administered intravascularly due to low osmotic pressure. Incorrect introduction, especially large volumes, can lead to hemolysis.
Oily solutions for injection with water do not mix.
