Dosage form: & nbsptoapsules enteric

Composition: The capsule contains:

Active ingredient: Myrtol standardized 300 mg for the minimum content: limonene 75 mg, cineole 75 mg, α-pinene 20 mg;

Excipients: rapeseed oil.

Capsule:

Gelatine, glycerol 85%, sorbitol, 13% solution of hydrochloric acid.

Auxiliary components of the capsule shell: hypromellose acetate succinate, triethyl citrate, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc, dextrin, ammonium glycyrrhizinate.

Description:

Soft gelatin capsules, transparent, oblong in shape. The contents of the capsules are a clear, colorless liquid with a characteristic odor.

Pharmacodynamics:

Has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, mucolytic effects.

Pharmacokinetics:

Well absorbed in the small intestine. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached in 1-3 hours after taking the drug. Approximately 60% of the drug and its metabolites are excreted in the urine, 5% - with feces, about 2% - with the lungs.Can penetrate the placental barrier; in the milk of lactating women.

Indications:

Applied in complex therapy for acute and chronic bronchitis, with inflammation of the paranasal sinuses (sinusitis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; cholelithiasis, urolithiasis, bronchial asthma, the first trimester of pregnancy, lactation period, children's age (up to 10 years).

Pregnancy and lactation:

Due to the lack of special studies during pregnancy (II-III trimester), the drug should be taken with caution by the appointment of a doctor, provided that the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.

Dosing and Administration:

The drug takes inwards in adults and children older than 10 years half an hour before a meal, with enough cold water.

Adults prescribe for acute inflammation 1 capsule 3-4 times a day, with chronic - 1 capsule 2 times a day. To facilitate sputum smear removal in the morning, additionally take 1 capsule of the drug before bedtime.

Children from 10 to 18 years with acute inflammation appoint 1 capsule of the drug 2 times a day, with a chronic - 1 capsule per day.

The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the symptoms of the disease and is determined by the attending physician.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible (itching, skin rash, face swelling, bronchial spasm), shortness of breath, tachycardia, dry mouth, stomach pain, flatulence, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, increased mobility of kidney stones and gall bladder.

If you see any side effects that are not listed in the instructions after taking the drug, tell your doctor immediately.

Overdose:

In case of an accidental overdose, nausea, vomiting, convulsions are possible, in severe cases - coma or respiratory failure. In rare cases, after severe intoxication, cardiovascular system disorders may occur.

Treatment: Vaseline oil in an amount of 3 ml per kilogram of body weight; gastric lavage with 5% sodium bicarbonate solution (baking soda); ventilation of the lungs with oxygen.
