Ginseng's real roots extract is dry, standardized (Panax ginseng S.A. Meyer, family. The Aral Sea - Araliaceae) (2,5-5 : 1).

Ginseng composition of the present roots of the extract of dry standardized (2.5-5: 1):

- ginseng present root extract of dry native: 30-45%,

- dextrose: 55-70%.

Extractor: ethanol 70%.

Description:Hard gelatin capsule (№ 1) light brown color (body and lid); contents of capsules: powder or granules of a yellowish-brown color.

    • Pharmacodynamics:The drug has a tonic and stimulating effect on the central nervous system, reducing general weakness, fatigue, drowsiness; increases blood pressure, mental and physical performance, adaptive ability of the body; Helps reduce cholesterol and blood glucose levels; activates the activity of the adrenal glands.
    Pharmacological activity is due to the presence of a complex of biologically active components of the extract of ginseng root, primarily triterpene saponins (ginsenosides).
    Pharmacokinetics:

    The pharmacokinetic properties of Herbion® ginseng not conducted. Nevertheless, studies were carried out on the pharmacokinetics of individual ginsenosides. So, ginsenoside Rg1 quickly absorbed and metabolized when ingested. More than 99% of diols ginsenosides bind to plasma proteins. It is excreted by the kidneys and through the intestines.

    Indications:

    - Asthenic conditions of various etiologies;

    - prolonged and / or increased physical and mental load;

    - period of recovery after infectious diseases;

    - increase the body's resistance to stress and adverse environmental conditions.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the extract of ginseng or any of the auxiliary components of the drug, hypertension, increased irritability, increased nervous excitability, insomnia, bleeding, sleep disorders, febrile syndrome in the presence of acute infectious disease, epilepsy, age 18 years, lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Since clinical data on the use of ginseng during pregnancy and lactation are not available, it is not recommended to use Gerbion® ginseng during pregnancy and during lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, adults should use 1 capsule per day in the morning after breakfast, washed down with a small amount of water. Capsule swallowed whole, without chewing.

    The course of treatment is 4-8 weeks.

    Break between the course of treatment - 1 month.

    Herbion® ginseng it is necessary to continue.

    Conducting a second course of treatment is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.

    Side effects:

    Classification of the incidence of adverse events (WHO):

    Immune system disorders

    very rarely: diarrhea, insomnia, headache, nervousness, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, agitation, increased blood pressure, epistaxis, hypoglycemia, skin allergic reactions (edema).

    Overdose:

    Cases of overdose are not described.

    With prolonged use of large doses of ginseng, insomnia, nervousness, increased blood pressure, skin rashes and morning diarrhea may occur.

    Treatment: symptomatic.
    Interaction:

    Herbion® ginseng It is not recommended for patients taking warfarin. In very rare cases, as a result of their simultaneous use with warfarin, there was a decrease in the International Normalized Ratio (INR) and, as a consequence, the effectiveness of treatment.

    Preparations of ginseng strengthen the action of psychostimulants and analeptics (including caffeine, camphor, etc.).

    It manifests antagonism with drugs (LS), depressing the central nervous system, incl.Barbiturates, antiepileptic and anxiolytic drugs (tranquilizers), etc.

    Enhances the effect of hypoglycemic drugs.

    Increases the risk of developing resistance to loop diuretics.

    Special instructions:

    Ginseng can affect the coagulability of the blood, so you need to be careful with the simultaneous use of drugs that affect blood clotting.

    Patients with diabetes should keep in mind that each capsule contains 21 mg of lactose.

    Before starting the use of Herbion® ginseng patients with type 2 diabetes should consult a doctor because ginseng slightly lowers blood sugar.

    To prevent insomnia, the use of Herbion® ginseng after noon.

    Capsule with hydro-sorbent, which is in the bottle, should not be swallowed!

    Special information about some ingredients

    Herbion® ginseng contains lactose, so it should not be used in patients with lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency and glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:Herbion® ginseng does not affect the management of vehicles and work with complex technical devices that require an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
