    Description:

    The mustard package is a packet of paper filtering for tea bags on both sides or from paper filtering for tea bags on one side and material combined on a paper basis, or packaging material, or paper wrapped with a polymer coating, or paper packaging laminated for medical preparations on the other hand; size (11.2 x 9.5) ± 0.5cm or (13.2 x 9.5) ± 0.5 cm, divided into 4 cells measuring 4.5 x 4.0 cm, uniformly filled with mustard powder from light yellow or grayish-yellow to yellowish brown or brown, with darker inclusions, with a smell specific to mustard powder.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Mustards have a locally irritating and distracting action associated with irritation of the sensitive nerve endings of the skin.

    Indications:

    In the complex therapy of acute respiratory infections; bronchitis, pneumonia; myalgia, neuralgia, lumboschialgia, arthralgia, sprain, osteochondrosis; cardialgia.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity, violation of the integrity of the skin, pyoderma, atopic dermatitis (common neurodermatitis), eczema, psoriasis, hyperthermia.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The use of the drug during pregnancy is not recommended due to the lack of data on the safety of the drug in this category of patients.

    Application in the period of breastfeeding is possible in view of the expected benefit to the possible risk of use for the child.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Yellow card is used externally. Before use, the mustard packet (4 cells) is shaken to distribute the powder uniformly throughout the cells of the bag. Place the bag for 15-20 seconds in warm water, then put the skin on the porous side of the paper. Close with a dry dense cloth, press firmly against the body. The time of the procedure is 5-20 minutes (before the emergence of persistent redness) depending on the age of the patient and the sensitivity of the skin; in children - 2, 3, 5 or 10 min, depending on the child's age, irritating effect and individual sensitivity of the child.If you feel a strong burning sensation, you must loosen the mustard plaster to the body for a while or remove it.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions, severe burning.

    Overdose:

    With prolonged contact of the mustard plaster with the skin, severe skin irritation and burns are possible.

    Treatment: symptomatic.
