    Pharmacodynamics:

    Kaffetin® sk is a combined preparation of analgesic action.

    Paracetamol and propifenazone have an analgesic and antipyretic effect. The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

    The presence of caffeine in combined analgesic drugs increases the absorption of components.

    The combination of the drug ensures the achievement of a satisfactory analgesic effect, and the use of small amounts included in the components reduces the risk of side effects.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    The pharmacokinetic characteristics of the combined preparations are not significant, since the drugs are not intended for the treatment of chronic diseases and therefore are applied as required or in the form of short-term courses.

    All active components of the drug Kaffetin® sk have a similar pharmacokinetic profile, which justifies the rationality of the analgesic combination. Absorbed very quickly and their maximum concentrations in the plasma are reached in 30-60 minutes after administration.

    Metabolised in the liver and excreted in the urine.

    During the biotransformation of paracetamol, a small amount of toxic metabolite N-acetyl-p-benzo-quinoneimine, which can manifest violations in the liver.

    Indications:

    Pain syndrome of moderate manifestation of various genesis: headache and toothache, migraine, neuralgia, myalgia, posttraumatic pains, arthralgia, algodismenorea and fever in influenza infections.

    Contraindications:

    Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug; hepatic and / or renal insufficiency; deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase; leukopenia; violation of hematopoiesis; increased excitability; insomnia; angina on coronarosclerosis; pregnancy and lactation; children's age (up to 7 years).

    Elderly, children's age, glaucoma.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Kaffetin® sk is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and during lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, adults - 1 tablet 3-4 times a day. For severe pain, taking 2 tablets at once is recommended. The maximum daily dose is 6 tablets.

    Children older than 7 years are appointed by 1/4 - 1/2 tablets, 1-4 times a day.

    The duration of taking the drug is no more than 5 days. An increase in the daily dose of the drug or the duration of treatment is possible only after consulting a doctor.

    Side effects:

    Leukopenia, agranulocytosis, nausea, gastralgia, vomiting, increased activity of "liver" transaminases, increased excitability (especially in children), allergic reactions (skin rash, Quincke's edema, itching, urticaria).

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, ringing in the ears, pain in the stomach, sweating, pallor of the skin, tachycardia. If you suspect a poisoning, you should immediately seek medical help.

    Giving help: the affected person should do gastric lavage and prescribe adsorbents (Activated carbon).

    Interaction:

    Avoid combination of the drug with barbiturates, antiepileptics, zidovudine, rifampicin and alcohol-containing beverages (the risk of hepatotoxic effect increases).

    Under the influence of paracetamol, the time of chloramphenicol elimination is increased by 5 times. Metoclopramide accelerates the absorption of paracetamol. At repeated reception paracetamol can enhance the effect of anticoagulants (derivatives of dicumarin).

    Caffeine accelerates the absorption of ergotamine.

    Special instructions:

    With continued use of the drug, control of peripheral blood and the functional state of the liver is necessary. During treatment, you should stop using alcohol-containing beverages (increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding). Excessive consumption of caffeinated products (coffee, tea) on the background of taking the drug may cause symptoms of an overdose.Taking the drug may make it difficult to establish a diagnosis for acute abdominal pain syndrome. In patients suffering from bronchial asthma, pollinosis, there is an increased risk of developing hypersensitivity reactions.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:Kaffetin® sk does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and machines.

    6 or 10 tablets in a perforated strip of aluminum foil (AL / PE).

    1 strip (6 or 10 tablets) or 2 strips (6 tablets each), along with the instructions for use, are placed in a cardboard box.
