Excipients: agar-agar 2.73 g, glycerol 12.25 g, sodium carbonate 0.10 g, ethanol 96% 4.94 g, chamomile flavor chamomile HAV 3354 0.01 g, distilled water 73.97 g.

* - Aluminum acetotartrate 10% solution is prepared from: aluminum sulfate oxadecahydrate, calcium carbonate, precipitated, acetic acid, tartaric acid, distilled water.

** - corresponds to 5 mg of aluminum acetotartrate.

*** - Chamomile flower petals glycolic liquid extract 1: 1 is made from: chamomile flowers, 96% ethanol, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Chamomile flowers (Flores Chamomillae), pharmaceutical camomile (Chamomilla recutita (L.), family Compositae - f. Compositae, Extragent - ethanol 96%.

The ratio of 1: 1 corresponds to the ratio of medicinal plant material to the extractant.

  • Pharmacodynamics:Kamagel is a combined preparation for external use, which includes chamomile pharmacy flowers extract and a solution of aluminum acetotartrate. Chamomile flowers has a local anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect, improves tissue regeneration. Aluminum acetotartrate has an anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and mild astringent effect. The mechanism of astringent action is provided by coagulation of exudate proteins with the formation of a film protecting the skin from external stimuli. The combination of both components reduces inflammation and swelling in various skin lesions.
    Pharmacokinetics:Absorption of aluminum ions through intact skin is negligible. The degree of absorption of chamomile pharmacy flowers extract through the skin has not been studied. According to preclinical studies: one of the active substances of the extract is the labeled bisabolol (FROM14) well penetrates into the skin with topical application.Chamomile flavonoids, especially luteolin and apigen, also penetrate the skin well.
    Indications:

    - Inflammatory skin reaction after ultraviolet irradiation (with sunburn);

    - intertrigo with excessive sweating;

    - dermatitis caused by insect bites, burns of jellyfish;

    - superficial damage to the skin (abrasions, cracks, inflammation of the skin after shaving);

    - Posttraumatic swelling, dislocation or bruises.

    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and to the plants of the family of asters (Asteraceae) (arnica, chamomile, asters, marigolds, ragweed, etc.), open wounds or deep cuts.
    Pregnancy and lactation:Kamagel acts locally and does not have a systemic effect, so its use during pregnancy and lactation is possible. It is not recommended to use the drug to treat nipple cracks in nursing mothers.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Outer, in children and adults 2-3 times a day, apply a thin layer on the affected skin.

    The dosage regimen in children does not differ from the dosing regimen for adults.

    The course of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks.

    For post-traumatic edema, dislocations and bruises, it is recommended to apply the gel on the skin with a thicker layer and apply a bandage.

    Side effects:

    In very rare cases (less than 1: 10,000 cases), allergic reactions are possible: itching and redness of the skin. In this case, stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

    Kamagel contains ethanol. Therefore, frequent application of the drug on the skin can cause irritation and dry skin.

    Overdose:There were no cases of drug overdose.
    Interaction:It is not recommended to apply any other drugs for topical application to the affected area together with the preparation Kamagel.
    Special instructions:

    Kamagel is intended for external use only.

    Do not apply to mucous membranes and eyes.

    Kamagel should not be applied to open wounds or cuts of the skin.

    Kamagel does not spoil clothes, it is easily washed off the skin with water.
