Pharmacodynamics:

The drug has antiseptic and a wide spectrum of antimicrobial activity against gram-positive (staphylococcus, pneumococcus, streptococcus) and gram-negative (gonococcus, meningococcus) cocci, corynebacteria, gram-negative bacteria (enterobacteria, pseudomonas), protozoa, dermatophytes, yeast-like fungi Candida, chlamydia, and viruses. In the process of application Conjunctiva the resistance of microorganisms is formed slowly. The drug enhances the effect of traditional antimicrobial agents in complex treatment.

Pharmacokinetics:Not studied.
Indications:Acute and chronic conjunctivitis; blepharoconjunctivitis; gonoblenorea and its prevention in newborns; chlamydia infection of the eye mucosa; prevention of purulent-inflammatory complications before andafter surgical interventions in ophthalmology, as well as contact lens treatment.
Contraindications:Individual intolerance to decamethoxin.
Pregnancy and lactation:

During pregnancy, the use of the drug is justified if the potential benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.

During the use of the drug, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Dosing and Administration:

Locally.

For the treatment of acute and chronic conjunctivitis and blepharoconjunctivitis, gonoblenorea, chlamydiosis of conjunctiva Bury in the conjunctival sac by 2-3 drops 4-6 times a day until complete recovery.

For prevention of blenorey in newborns: 2 drops in both eyes immediately after birth and 2 hours after birth.

With the preventive purpose: 2-3 drops 4-6 times a day before surgery and within 3-5 days after the operation.

For the treatment of contact lenses: contact lenses are immersed in the drug solution for 10-15 minutes, then rinsed in a sterile isotonic solution of sodium chloride.

Side effects:

Possible reactions of local irritation - itching, conjunctival hyperemia, lacrimation.

Overdose:Symptoms of overdose are not revealed.

Special instructions:

When using contact lenses, they must be removed before instillation of the drug and you can dress again after 15 minutes.
