    Composition:

    100 g of ointment contains:

    active substances: hydrocortisone acetate - 0.5 g, levomycetin (chloramphenicol) - 0.2 g;

    Excipients: lanolin, petrolatum, liquid paraffin (vaseline oil), sorbitan oleate (sorbitanoleate-H), stearic acid, purified water.

    Description:

    Ointment is white with a yellowish tinge.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined drug. Has local anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antipruritic and antibacterial action.

    Hydrocortisone unhalogenated glucocorticoid. Has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antiexudative and antipruritic effect. Inhibits the activity of phospholipase A2, which leads to suppression of the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. It inhibits the migration of leukocytes and lymphocytes into the focus of inflammation. Reduces manifestations of inflammatory reaction, exudative processes and permeability of capillaries. Chloramphenicol - broad spectrum antibiotic. The mechanism of antimicrobial action is associated with a violation of the synthesis of proteins of microorganisms.It acts bacteriostatically. Active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, N.meningitidis, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Serratia spp., Yersinia spp., Proteus spp., Rickettsia spp., Spirochaetaceae). Chloramphenicol is active against strains resistant to penicillin, streptomycin, sulfonamides.

    Pharmacokinetics:The degree of absorption in the systemic circulation after application of the drug to the skin, wounds or mucous membranes is unknown.
    Indications:

    Inflammatory and allergic skin diseases complicated by microbial infection which is sensitive to chloramphenicol: microbial eczema, atopic dermatitis, atopic eczema, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, pyoderma.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Lupus, fungal and viral diseases of the skin, post-vaccination period, impaired integrity of the skin (sores, wounds), syphilitic skin lesions, skin tumors, rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, pregnancy, lactation, children under 2 years ( when itching in the anus - up to 12 years).

    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly. Ointment is applied a thin layer on the affected skin 2-3 times a day.The daily dose (depending on the area of ​​the lesion) is from 2 to 30 g. Apply the occlusive dressing once a day with a corresponding decrease in the daily dose. The course of treatment depends on the nature of the disease and the effectiveness of therapy, can last from 7 to 30 days, averaging 7-10 days.

    Side effects:

    There may be itching, hyperemia, soreness at the site of application, exacerbation of skin inflammatory diseases, skin rash, angioedema; with prolonged use - atrophy of the skin, stria, telangiectasia, steroid purpura, steroid acne, perioral dermatitis, rosacea, depigmentation of the skin.
