Pharmacodynamics:

Makrovit® contains complex vitamins that are involved in many biochemical processes in the body.

Vitamins of group B (B1, AT2, AT6, pantothenic acid and nicotinamide) participate in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, the exchange of erythrocytes and the synthesis of neurotransmitters.

Vitamin A It is necessary for the biosynthesis of the photosensitive pigment of the retina.

Vitamin D regulates the absorption of calcium.

Vitamin C promotes the absorption of iron and is involved in many oxidation-reduction processes in the body.

Vitamin E is a physiological antioxidant that protects the cell membranes from damage and preserves their functional activity.

Indications:

Increased need for vitamins:

- with increased physical and / or mental stress;

- in the period of intensive sports;

- with irregular and unbalanced diets, including: when diets are observed, during the seasonal lack of fresh vegetables and fruits, and against a background of decreased appetite in elderly people, in people suffering from nicotine and alcohol dependence;

- during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hypervitaminosis A and D.

Children under 6 years.

The drug should not be taken to patients with glucose malabsorption / galactose syndrome or lactose deficiency,sucrose isomaltose and congenital intolerance to fructose.

Pregnancy and lactation:

During pregnancy and during breastfeeding, take Macrovit ® only on the advice of a doctor.

Dosing and Administration:

Inside, after eating; Keep in mouth until completely dissolved or chewed.

Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 tablet, coated, 1 or 2 times a day after meals.

Adults and children over the age of 10 years: 1 tablet, coated, 2-3 times a day after meals.

Course of taking the drug 20-30 days. Repeated course on the advice of a doctor.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions.

Prolonged use of large doses of the drug may lead to hypervitaminosis A and D.

High doses of glycerol can cause headache, impaired gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea).

In case of allergic reactions it is necessary to stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Overdose:

Prolonged intake of very high doses can lead to hypervitaminosis of vitamins A and D, but the likelihood of an overdose of MacroVit® tablets is minimal.

Interaction:

It is not recommended simultaneous reception with other multivitamin complexes in order to avoid an overdose.

Special instructions:

Admission of the drug in children under 14 years only on the advice of a doctor.

Do not exceed the recommended dose of the drug.

Patients with diabetes mellitus can take the drug Macrovit ®, but it should be borne in mind that 1 tablet, coated with a shell, contains: 0.61 g of sucrose and 0.15 g of glucose, and the daily dose: 0.61-1,8 g sucrose and 0.15-0.45 g glucose.

Macrovit® contains an azo dye E 110, which can cause a hypersensitivity reaction, with an asthmatic component. Similar reactions are more often observed in patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid.

It is possible to stain urine yellow - completely harmless and due to the presence of riboflavin in the preparation.

Glycerol can cause headache, as well as gastrointestinal dyspepsia. Macrovit® contains a polyol, which in some cases can cause diarrhea.

The preparation contains 187 mg of lactose, 614 mg of sucrose, 150 mg of glucose and 131 mg of sorbitol, so the drug is not recommended for children with congenital intolerance to glucose and fructose, with glucose malabsorption / galactose syndromes and sucrose / isomaltose deficiency.

The adverse effect of Macrothra® on the ability to drive and work with machinery has not been reported.
