Combination drug for external use, with local anesthetic and antipruritic effect.
Pharmacodynamics
Racetenthol (menthol) when applied to the skin causes irritation of the nerve endings and the expansion of the surface vessels of the skin and a feeling of coolness, accompanied by an analgesic effect and relief of itching.
Procaine (novocain) is a local anesthetic with moderate anesthetic activity. It blocks sodium channels, prevents the generation of pulses in the endings of the sensory nerves, and impulses along nerve fibers. Benzocaine (anesthesin) is a local anesthetic for surface anesthesia. Prevents the appearance of painful impulses in the endings of the sensory nerves and their conduction along nerve fibers.
Menthol enhances the local anesthetic effect of procaine (novocaine) and benzocaine (anestezina) when they are used simultaneously in a combination preparation.
