    Composition:

    In 1 g of cream contains:

    Active substance: miconazole nitrate - 20 mg;

    Excipients: propylene glycol, paraffin soft white, cetostearyl alcohol, cetomacrogol 1000, paraffin light liquid, disodium edetate, sodium hydrophosphate, chlorocresol, purified water.

    Description:

    A white or almost white homogeneous cream with a specific odor that does not contain foreign particles.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Miconazole has an antifungal effect. It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, changes the lipid composition and permeability of the cell wall. It is active against dermatophytes of yeast and other fungi. It shows antimicrobial activity against gram-positive microorganisms.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    With local applications, only a small number of metabolites are found in the blood. Rapidly destroyed in the liver, excreted through the kidneys 14-22% of the dose in the form of inactive derivatives.

    Indications:

    Dermatomycoses caused by fungi, sensitive to the drug (incl.at secondary infection by Gram-positive microorganisms).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Carefully:FROMdiabetes mellitus, violation of microcirculation.
    Pregnancy and lactation:

    With topical application miconazole not absorbed.

    The drug can be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly. The cream is applied to washed and thoroughly dried skin, lightly rubbing into affected areas 2 times a day (morning and evening). If necessary, apply an occlusive dressing.

    The treatment is continued until the symptoms disappear completely and for several consecutive days to prevent recurrence. In the course of therapy, mycological monitoring is performed, the results of which determine the duration of treatment (usually its duration is 2-6 weeks).

    Side effects:

    When hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, local allergic reactions are noted - reddening of the skin, burning sensations and tingling at the site of application of the drug; in rare cases - hives, swelling, rashes, erythema.

    Overdose:

    The use of the drug in elevated doses does not cause any reactions and conditions that are life-threatening.

    In case of unintended use of the drug (inside) the following symptoms: anorexia, nausea, vomiting, gastralgia, impaired liver function; rarely - drowsiness, hallucinations, pollakiuria, skin allergic reactions.

    There is no specific antidote. Must be administered orally Activated carbon. If necessary, treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Strengthens the effect of indirect anticoagulants, oral hypoglycemic drugs, phenytoin.

    Special instructions:

    In case the patient is irritated with skin, or if there is an increased sensitivity (allergic reactions appear) during the use of this drug, treatment should be stopped and a course of appropriate therapy is prescribed.

    It is not recommended to use the cream for more than 4 weeks.

    Avoid contact with eyes.
