Description:

  • Pharmacodynamics:

    Mucaltin (althaea medicinal herb extract) contains a mixture polysaccharides. Has expectorant properties - due to reflex stimulation enhances the activity of the ciliated epithelium and peristalsis of respiratory bronchioles in combination with increased secretion bronchial glands.

    Indications:

    Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by cough with hard-to-separate sputum high viscosity (including tracheobronchitis, obstructive bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia) - the composition of complex therapy.

    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, children under 12 years.
    Pregnancy and lactation:The use of the drug is indicated if the potential benefit to the mother exceeds the possible risk to the fetus and the baby. It is necessary to consult a doctor!
    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside.

    Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day before eating.

    The course of treatment is 7-14 days.

    Children can dissolve a tablet in 1/3 a glass of warm water.

    Overdose:

    To date, cases of overdose with the use of the drug has not been recorded.

    Interaction:

    Mucaltin can be prescribed concomitantly with other drugs used in the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases.

    Mucaltin should not be used concomitantly with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive medicines, as this hinders the expectoration of diluted sputum.
