    Pharmacodynamics:

    Nonivamide is a synthetic analog of capsaicin, after local application it gradually penetrates into the peripheral nociceptive Cfibers and A- delta nerve fibers, has analgesic effect.

    Nicoboxyl has a direct vasodilating effect.

    In combination, these two components complement the vasodilating properties of each other, local application of the drug leads to hyperemia, increases metabolism, leads to a local increase in temperature, increase the rate of enzyme reactions.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    The appearance of redness and a rise in skin temperature within a few minutes after application indicate a rapid penetration of the active components of the drug into the skin. The action of the drug appears locally.

    The action of the ointment develops within a few minutes, the maximum effect occurs in 20-30 minutes.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Dosing and Administration:

    Locally no more than 0.5 cm on the corresponding skin area. To enhance the therapeutic effect of skin,on which the preparation is applied, can be covered with a woolen cloth.

    Side effects:

    Symptoms: the effect of skin hyperemia and the severity of dose-dependent side effects can be exacerbated after applying an excessive amount of ointment. The use of excessive amounts of the drug can lead to the occurrence of vesicles or pustules at the site of ointment application.

    Overdose:

    An overdose of the drug can cause systemic reactions (reddening of the upper body, increased body temperature, blood flushes, painful hyperemia, decreased blood pressure), since esters of nicotinic acid have good transdermal absorption.

    Treatment: when using an excessive amount of the drug, the effect can be reduced by removing the ointment from the skin surface with vegetable oil or a cosmetic cream on a fatty basis,from the mucous membrane of the eye (with accidental ingestion) - with the help of medical Vaseline. If necessary, symptomatic treatment should be performed.

    Special instructions:

    Patients with sensitive skin should not take a hot shower or bath after applying the drug. After applying the drug, you should wash your hands thoroughly.

    Sweating or the application of heat to the site of application can cause reddening of the skin and intense sensation of heat even a few hours after application of the ointment.

    The drug contains sorbic acid, which can cause local skin irritation (eg, contact dermatitis).

    Avoid accidental ingestion of the drug on the face, eyes, nose or mouth. This can lead to temporary swelling of the face, pain in the face, inflammation of the conjunctiva, eye hyperemia, burning in the eyes, visual impairment, discomfort in the oral cavity and stomatitis.
