  • Pharmacodynamics:

    Stimulates reparative processes in skin and mucous membrane lesions of various etiology (wound, radiation, burn, ulcer). Has a restorative effect, has antioxidant and cytoprotective effect. Reduces the intensity of free-radical processes and protects against damage to cellular and subcellular membranes. The pharmacological effect is due to the presence of carotene (provitamin A), tocopherols (vitamin E) and other lipophilic substances in the preparation.

    Indications:

    In complex therapy as a wound-healing agent for skin and mucous membrane damage:

    - in gastroenterology - peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum;

    - in gynecology - colpitis, endocervicitis, erosion of the cervix;

    - in otorhinolaryngology - postoperative wounds in order to accelerate healing;

    - in proctology - external hemorrhoids, rectal cracks;

    - in surgery - to stimulate reparative processes in case of wound damage to the skin, radiation injuries, burns.

    Contraindications:

    - Hypersensitivity to the drug;

    - when administered orally: cholecystitis, cholangitis, pancreatitis, cholelithiasis, hepatitis;

    - with rectal administration - diarrhea;

    - with external and local application - profuse bleeding, copious purulent discharge from the wound;

    - Children under 12 years old.

    Carefully:

    When ingestion - pregnancy, child age over 12 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit for the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or the baby. It is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside: with peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum the drug is taken 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day.

    The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks.

    Locally: colpitis, endocervicitis, cervical erosion, external hemorrhoids, rectal cracks are used in the form of tampons, richly impregnated with sea buckthorn oil.

    The course of treatment for colpitis - 10-15 procedures; with endocervicitis, cervical erosion - 8-12 procedures; with external hemorrhoids, rectal cracks - 5-7 procedures.

    Outwardly: when skin lesions are used in the form of oil dressings. On the previously cleaned from necrotic tissues, the skin area is applied sea ​​buckthorn oil, and then impose a cotton-gauze dressing, which is changed every other day. Treatment is carried out until the appearance of granulations.

    In otorhinolaryngology - with tympanoplasty, after treatment of the wound with antibiotics or hydrocortisone, tampons richly impregnated with sea-buckthorn oil, the wound surface is plastered. The course of treatment - 7-10 procedures.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible; when taking the drug inside - a feeling of bitterness in the mouth, diarrhea, biliary colic; at local and external application it is possible burning sensation.
