    Pharmacodynamics:

    Included in the suppository Patenteks Oval H ingredients after administration to the vagina under the influence of the body temperature over approximately 10 minutes are distributed uniformly along the walls of the vagina and the cervical surface and regardless of the number of vaginal secretions produce foam, as a stable barrier to the penetration of sperm into the cervical canal and uterine cavity. Nonoxynol-9 reduces the surface tension of the lipid membrane of spermatozoa and irreversibly paralyzes their ability to move. In vitro bactericidal action against a number of microorganisms related to sexually transmitted infections has been proved.

    Indications:

    Local contraception for women of reproductive age (including if there are contraindications to the use of hormonal or intrauterine contraception, irregular sexual intercourse, use of drugs that reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraception, miss or late reception of continuously used oral contraceptives).

    Contraindications:

    - hypersensitivity to drug components

    - anomalies in the development of genital organs

    - vaginitis, ulceration and irritation of the vaginal mucosa

    - cervical erosion, cervicitis

    - endometritis

    - vaginal bleeding

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Patent Oval H is a contraceptive and is not used during pregnancy. The drug should not be used during postpartum discharge.

    Potential risk when used during lactation is not sufficiently studied. Lactating women are appointed by the doctor in the case when the benefit to the mother exceeds the risk to the fetus or the child.

    Dosing and Administration:

    A prerequisite for the effectiveness of Oval H Patentex is its proper application.

    Before each sexual intercourse, the suppository is removed from the blister in a marked place; is inserted deep into the vagina; becomes active after 10 minutes from the moment of administration, when the active spermicidal substance is evenly distributed across the vagina, forming a stable barrier that prevents the progress of spermatozoa into the cervical canal and uterine cavity.

    If the sexual intercourse is not completed within an hour, it is necessary to reintroduce another suppository, despite the fact that the duration of the drug is 2 hours.

    When you repeat sexual acts every time you need the introduction of a new suppository, incl. in cases where the time interval between two sexual acts is less than 1 hour.

    Patentex Oval H can be used for a long period of time.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions, increased vaginal discharge, itching and burning in the vagina and / or penis partner, dryness of the vagina, painful urination.

    Overdose:

    Not described.

    Interaction:

    Any medicinal product, as well as soap and solutions containing it, administered intravaginally, can reduce the spermicidal effect of the drug.

    Special instructions:

    Does not have a systemic effect. Can be used together with a condom.

    To increase the effectiveness, it is necessary to follow the method of application of the drug.

    Form release / dosage:

    1 suppository vaginal contains 75 mg of nonoxynol-9.

    Packaging:By 3 or 6 suppositories in a contour mesh box made of PVC film. One (3 or 6 suppositories) or two (6 suppositories each), the contour packs along with the instructions for use are placed in a cardboard pack. The cardboard package is packed in a transparent polyethylene film.
    Storage conditions:

    At a temperature not higher than 25 ° C, out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

    2.5 years.
