Pharmacodynamics:
Combined drug. The herb extract of thyme exerts an expectorant effect, increases the amount of secretory mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract, facilitates the dilution of sputum and accelerates its evacuation.Potassium bromide reduces the excitability of the central nervous system.

Indications:
As an expectorant in the complex therapy of acute respiratory diseases; tracheitis, bronchitis, and also with whooping cough.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the drug components, liver disease, alcoholism, craniocerebral trauma, brain diseases, epilepsy, chronic heart failure (in decompensation stage), pregnancy, lactation period, children's age (up to 3 years).

Carefully:
: diabetes; children age over 3 years (due to the presence of ethanol in the drug).

Dosing and Administration:
The drug is taken orally, after a meal (due to the possibility of reducing appetite).
Adults take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day; children from 3 to 6 years - 1 / 2-1 teaspoonful 3 times a day; children from 6 to 12 years - 1-2 teaspoons 3 times a day; children over 12 years - 1 dessert spoon 3 times a day.
The course of treatment is 10-14 days. An increase in the duration and conduct of repeated courses of treatment is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.

Side effects:
Allergic reactions, heartburn are possible.

Overdose:
In case of an overdose of the drug, nausea is possible.
Treatment: symptomatic.

Interaction:
The drug should not be used simultaneously with antitussive drugs, as this makes it difficult to cough up thinned phlegm.

Special instructions:
The drug contains 8-11% ethanol. The content of absolute alcohol is: in 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) - up to 0.43 g, in 1 dessert spoon (10 ml) - up to 0.87 g, in 1 tablespoon (15 ml) - up to 1.3 g. In the maximum daily dose of the drug for adults - 3 tablespoons (45 ml) - contains up to 3.9 grams of absolute alcohol.
During the treatment period, care must be taken when driving vehicles and engaging in other potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.
Indication for patients with diabetes: the content of sucrose in 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of the drug corresponds to approximately 0.22 XE, in 1 dessert spoon (10 ml) - about 0.44 XE; in 1 tablespoon - about 0.66 XE.
