    Pharmacodynamics:

    When installing levomenthol causes irritation of nerve endings, the expansion of the surface vessels of the skin and mucous membranes, which is accompanied by a feeling of coolness, an anesthetic effect, an end to itching.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Does not have a systemic effect.

    Indications:

    It is used for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Recommendations for FDA - category is not defined. Application during pregnancy and during lactation is contraindicated.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Locally with diseases of the upper respiratory tract: 15-20 drops per 200 ml of water for steam inhalations.

    In rhinitis: 5-10 drops in each nasal passage.

    The highest daily dose: 20 drops.

    The highest single dose: 20 drops.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions.

    With intranasal application in children, the development of respiratory depression, up to apnea, is possible.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: increased side effects.

    Treatment: symptomatic.
