Competitively connects H₁-receptors of effector cells. Inhibits allergic reactions after the introduction of specific allergens, histamine, with cold urticaria. Reduces histamine-induced bronchoconstriction in bronchial asthma. Prevents allergic reactions, when they occur - facilitates the course of the disease. Reduces exudation and itching. Does not enhance the effects of ethyl alcohol and other drugs that have a depressing effect on the central nervous system.

Pharmacokinetics:

After ingestion, up to 70% is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 1 hour. The connection with plasma proteins is 93%.

The therapeutic effect develops 2 hours after admission and lasts for 24 hours or more. Metabolism in the liver.

The half-life is 7-11 hours. Elimination by the kidneys.
