    Pharmacodynamics:

    The blocker of histamine peripheral H1receptors of the third generation, does not penetrate the blood-brain barrier, does not have a sedative effect.

    Competitively connects H1-receptors of effector cells. Inhibits allergic reactions after the introduction of specific allergens, histamine, with cold urticaria. Reduces histamine-induced bronchoconstriction in bronchial asthma. Prevents allergic reactions, when they occur - facilitates the course of the disease. Reduces exudation and itching. Does not enhance the effects of ethyl alcohol and other drugs that have a depressing effect on the central nervous system.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    After ingestion, up to 70% is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 1 hour. The connection with plasma proteins is 93%.

    The therapeutic effect develops 2 hours after admission and lasts for 24 hours or more. Metabolism in the liver.

    The half-life is 7-11 hours. Elimination by the kidneys.

    Indications:

    It is used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, hay fever, conjunctivitis, Quincke edema, urticaria.

    Contraindications:

    Severe renal failure, individual intolerance, children under 6 months.

    Carefully:

    Chronic renal failure, hypersensitivity.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Recommendations for FDA - Category C. Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Use in children

    Inside, depending on age:

    6-12 months: 2.5 mg once a day;

    1-2 years: 2.5 mg 2 times a day;

    2-6 years: 5 mg once a day or 2.5 mg 2 times a day.

    Adults and children over 6 years of age

    Inside for 10 mg once a day or 5 mg 2 times a day.

    The highest daily dose: 10 mg.

    The highest single dose: 10 mg.

    Side effects:

    Central and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, headache, rarely - depression, increased excitability, tremor, migraine.

    Respiratory system: pharyngitis.

    The cardiovascular system: rarely - arterial hypertension, tachycardia.

    Digestive system: dry mouth, dyspepsia, gastritis, edema of the tongue.

    Musculoskeletal system: arthralgia, myalgia.

    Sense organs: change in taste perception.

    Urinary system: delay urination.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Drowsiness.

    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Clinically significant interactions are not described.

    Special instructions:

    In the treatment it is not recommended to drive vehicles and work with moving mechanisms.
