    Pharmacodynamics:
The drug has venotonic, angioprotective, venoprotective action.
Increases the tone of the veins (vasoconstrictor effect on the veins is dose-dependent), reduces venous stasis and the volume of venous stasis. Increases the resistance of capillaries (dose-dependent effect), reduces their permeability, improves microcirculation. Has an angioprotective effect. Increases vascular resistance, as well as systolic and diastolic pressure in orthostatic hypertension in the postoperative period. Improves lymphatic drainage.
There are data on the possible efficacy for the prevention of bleeding arising from the use of the intrauterine device and the consequences of phlebectomy.
Pharmacokinetics:Quickly absorbed from the digestive tract, starting from the second hour after administration. Cmax in the plasma is determined after 5 hours. It accumulates in the region of the hollow veins, subcutaneous veins of the lower extremities, to a lesser extent - in the kidneys, liver and lungs, in an insignificant amount - in other organs and tissues. The selective accumulation of diosmin and / or its metabolites reaches a maximum of 9 hours and lasts for the next 96 hours. It does not penetrate the hematoplacental barrier. Excreted mainly in the urine - 79%, bile - 2.4% and feces - 11%.
Indications:Varicose veins of the lower extremities, chronic lymphovenous insufficiency of the lower extremities, hemorrhoids in the acute stage, disturbance of microcirculation.

    IX.I80-I89.I83   Varicose veins

    IX.I80-I89.I84   Hemorrhoids

Carefully:It should be borne in mind that when exacerbating hemorrhoids, the use of diosmin (it should be short-lived) does not replace the specific treatment of other anal disorders. Proctologic examination and revision of treatment tactics are necessary if the symptoms of hemorrhoids do not disappear after short-term therapy.

Inside. With venous insufficiency - 600 mg in the morning before meals, for 2 months; with severe forms of chronic lymphovenous insufficiency (swelling, pain, convulsions), treatment continues for 3-4 months; In the presence of trophic changes and ulcers, the course is prolonged to 6 months or more. The course is repeated after 2-3 months.
When hemorrhoids in the acute stage - during meals 1200-1800 mg per day, for 7 days, then, if necessary, you can continue 600 mg once a day for 1-2 months.
In the treatment of chronic lymphovenous insufficiency in the II and III trimesters of pregnancy, the drug is canceled 2-3 weeks before the birth.
