  • Pharmacodynamics:

PEAKOVIT® D contains the 10 most important vitamins, as well as calcium and phosphorus.

Vitamins of group B (B1 AT2, AT6, AT12), pantothenic acid and nicotinamide participate in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Folic acid is inactive, but in the body it is converted into a biologically active coenzyme - tetrahydrofolic acid, which is necessary for the biosynthesis of nucleic acids. It enhances growth and is involved in the ripening of red blood cells. Folic acid participates in the formation and regeneration of platelets and their functions. Vitamin A is essential for the development of epithelial cells and the synthesis of visual pigment. Vitamin D participates in the exchange of calcium and promotes proper mineralization of bones and teeth. Vitamin C accelerates the absorption of iron and takes part in many oxidation-reduction processes in the body.

Calcium and phosphorus play a key role in the mineralization of bones and teeth. Calcium ions activate numerous enzymes, they take part in regulating the tone of the heart muscle, in the transmission of nerve impulses and regulate the permeability of cell membranes.

Water-soluble vitamins (B vitamins, vitamin C and biotin) are well absorbed in amounts corresponding to the daily needs of the organism. The amounts exceeding the saturation level of the tissues are excreted by the kidneys and to a lesser extent, through the gastrointestinal tract. After oral administration, fat-soluble vitamins A and D are well absorbed in the small intestine in the presence of fats. Higher amounts of fat-soluble vitamins accumulate in the liver and, therefore, are more toxic than water-soluble vitamins.

PEAKOVIT® D - vitamin-mineral tablets do not contain sugar. Pills PEAKOVIT® D contain maltitol and mannitol. They do not adversely affect the teeth.

Long-term intake of high doses of vitamin B6 can lead to the case of peripheral neuropathy. Mannitol and maltitol is not absorbed enough in the gastrointestinal tract and in high doses can lead to diarrhea and flatulence.
