    Pharmacodynamics:

    The drug is quickly and completely absorbed from the digestive tract.

    Pyracetam

    Suction. Bioavailability of piracetam is 95%. Maximum concentration piracetam is achieved in 2-6 hours.

    Distribution. Pyracetam does not bind to blood plasma proteins. Penetrates through blood-brain and placental barriers. It accumulates in the brain tissue 1-4 h after ingestion. From the cerebrospinal fluid is derived much more slowly than from other tissues.

    Metabolism and excretion. Pyracetam practically not metabolized. Half-life pyracetam from the blood plasma - 4,5 h, half-life from the brain - an average of 7.7 hours. It is mainly excreted by the kidneys (more than 95% of the dose taken for 30 hours).

    Cinnarizine

    Suction. The maximum concentration of cinnarizine is reached in 1-4 hours.

    Distribution. The maximum concentration of cinnarizine after 1-4 hours is noted not only in the blood, but also in the liver, kidneys, heart, lungs, spleen and brain. Binding to blood plasma proteins - 91%.

    Metabolism and excretion. Cinnarizine completely metabolized in the liver (by dealkylation). The half-life of cinnarizine is 4 hours. It is excreted in the form of metabolites (1/3 - kidneys with urine, 2/3 - through intestines with feces).

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Hypersensitivity; hepatic failure of severe degree; severe renal failure; Parkinsonism; pregnancy; lactation period; children under 5 years.

    Indications:Insufficiency of cerebral circulation (atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels, recovery period of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, craniocerebral trauma, encephalopathy of various origins).

    Intoxication.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Piracetam - 400 mg; cinnarizine - 25 mg in 1 capsule or tablet. Inside during or after a meal. Adults - 1-2 tablets 3 times a day for 1-3 months, depending on the severity of the disease. It is possible to conduct repeated courses of treatment 2-3 times a year.

    Children older than 5 years - 1-2 tablets 1-2 times a day. Do not use for more than 3 months.

    For the prevention of kinetosis: in adults - 1 tablet, in children older than 5 years - 1/2 tablet 30 minutes before travel, with repeated admission (if necessary) every 6-8 hours.

    Patients with impaired renal function: for chronic renal failure (creatinine clearance 20-80 ml / min) - 1 tablet 2 times a day.

    Side effects:

    From the side CNS and peripheral nervous system: irritability, sleep disturbance, headache, tremor of extremities.

    From the side digestive system: dyspepsia, epigastric pain, dry mouth.

    Allergic reactions: skin rash.

    Overdose:

    Data on drug overdose are not provided.

    Interaction:

    Strengthens the effects of drugs, depressing the central nervous system, ethanol, as well as nootropic and antihypertensive drugs.

    It improves the tolerability of antipsychotics (neuroleptics) and tricyclic antidepressants.

    Vasodilating drugs enhance the effect of a combination of piracetam and cinnarizine.

    Special instructions:

    At the beginning of treatment, the patient should refrain from drinking alcohol.

    Due to the content of cinnarizine, the drug can cause a positive reaction when performing a doping test in athletes.

    During the treatment period, care must be taken when driving a car and engaging in activities that require a high concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

    Pyracetam is forbidden to prescribe to children the first year of life! Causes in children (especially with mental retardation) fussiness, anxiety, restlessness, motor disinhibition, decreased ability to concentrate, unbalanced, irritable, increased conflict.
