Composition:

Per 100 ml:

active ingredients: dexamethasone sodium metasulfobenzoate 0.100 g, neomycin sulfate 1 g, corresponding to 650,000 units, polymyxin B sulfate 1 000 000 units;

Pharmacodynamics:

Combination drug for topical application in otolaryngology. The therapeutic effect of the drug due Polydex inflammatory effects of dexamethasone and antibacterial antibiotics neomycin and polymyxin B. In a combination of said antibiotic is expanded spectrum of antibacterial action for most Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms causing infectious and inflammatory diseases of the outer and middle ear.

Neomycin active with respect to Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae.

Polymyxin B is active against gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

To the action of these antibiotics are stable Streptococcus spp. (in t.h. Streptococcus pneumoniae).

Indications:

External otitis without damage to the tympanic membrane; infected eczema of the external auditory canal.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, viral and fungal infections of the ears, infectious or traumatic injuries (perforation) of the tympanic membrane.

Pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Contraindicated for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Dosing and Administration:

Adults: Bury 1-5 drops in each ear 2 times a day for 6-10 days.

For children: Bury 1-2 drops in each ear 2 times a day for 6-10 days. Duration of treatment - should not exceed 7-10 days.

Side effects:

Local allergic reactions are possible.

Overdose:Due to the low degree of absorption in the systemic blood flow, an overdose is unlikely.

Interaction:

Incompatible with monomycin, streptomycin, gentamicin, amikacin,Netilmicin (increased ototoxic effect).

Clinically significant drug interactions with other drugs have not been identified.

Special instructions:

Before using ear drops, it is recommended to warm the bottle holding it in your hand, in order to avoid the unpleasant sensations associated with the ingress of cold liquid into the ear.

Do not inject under pressure.

The simultaneous use of other aminoglycosides is not allowed.
