Pharmacodynamics:

Phenylephrine hydrochloride is α-adrenomimetic, it has a local vasoconstrictive effect, which helps to reduce exudation, swelling of the tissues, itching in the anorectal area.

Indications:

As a symptomatic for hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal itching.

Contraindications:

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, thromboembolic disease, granulocytopenia.

Carefully:

Arterial hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, urinary retention (prostatic hypertrophy), pregnancy, lactation.

Dosing and Administration:

The drug should be used after hygienic procedures.

Adults and children over 12 years of age:

remove the protective cap from the applicator. Attach the applicator to the tube and squeeze out a small amount of ointment to lubricate the applicator. The ointment is gently applied through the applicator to the affected areas on the outside or inside the anus, up to 4 times a day in the morning, in the evening and after each emptying of the intestine.

After each use, rinse the applicator thoroughly and place it in a protective cap.

Ointment is also applied to the skin in the area of the anus.

Side effects:

Rarely, allergic reactions.

Interaction:

Because of the contained phenylephrine, the effect of antihypertensive drugs is reduced.

With a simultaneous appointment with antidepressant MAO inhibitors, the development of a hypertensive crisis is possible.

Special instructions:

It is not recommended to use in children under the age of 12, during pregnancy and lactation without consulting a doctor.

In case of bleeding, deterioration of the condition or in the absence of effect within 7 days, discontinue use of the drug and seek medical advice from a doctor.

Do not use together with antihypertensive drugs and MAO inhibitors.
