  • АТХ:

D.01.A.E.20   Antifungal preparations for topical use others in combination

    Pharmacodynamics:

Anti-inflammatory action salicylic acid is due to inhibition of COX-2 activity, which leads to a decrease in the production of inflammatory mediators - prostaglandins Pg D2, E2 and I2.

The analgesic effect is associated with a decrease in the synthesis of PgE2, which prevents sensitization of pain receptors to bradykinin, histamine and other chemicals synthesized or released in the inflammatory focus.

Local antibacterial action chloramphenicol is due to reversible binding to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, suppression of protein synthesis.

Ethanol has antiseptic, disinfectant, locally irritating, pronounced antimicrobial action. Coagulates proteins. Has a tanning effect on the skin and mucous membranes. Effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and viruses.
    Pharmacokinetics:

Absorption from the skin surface is insignificant; association with plasma proteins; biotransformation of the liver (after entering the systemic circulation) to inactive metabolites (CYP3A4); excretion mainly by the kidneys in the form of inactive metabolites.

Indications:Purulent wound infection, burns (superficial and limited deep), bedsores, trophic ulcers, infected wounds.
