    Pharmacodynamics:

    Anti-inflammatory action salicylic acid is due to inhibition of COX-2 activity, which leads to a decrease in the production of inflammatory mediators - prostaglandins D2, E2 and I2. Keratolytic, antiseptic and locally irritating effect suppresses the secretion of sebaceous glands.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Easily absorbed from the surface of intact skin and mucous membranes.

    Indications:Monotherapy and application in combination preparations for inflammatory, infectious and other skin lesions, including burns, psoriasis, eczema, dyskeratosis, ichthyosis, acne vulgaris, warts, hyperkeratosis, calluses, omocaulost, oily seborrhea, pityriasis; loss of hair; sweating of the feet.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Indications for external use: inflammatory and infectious diseases of the skin; burns, calluses, calligraphy, warts, hyperkeratosis, increased sweating of feet, hair loss, psoriasis, acne vulgaris, oily seborrhea, eczema, pityriasis, discouratosis, ichthyosis.

    The ointment is applied to the affected area (about 0.2 g per cm2) and covered with a sterile tissue or impose a sterile dressing impregnated with ointment (before application, the skin surface is cleaned of necrotic tissues, the blisters are opened, and the antiseptic solution is washed). The dressing is changed once in 2-3 days until complete purification from purulent necrotic masses.

    Alcohol solution treated affected surface 2-3 times a day. Corn and calluses are removed 3-4 days after a warm foot bath. If necessary, repeat the treatment. The maximum daily dose of 10 ml (2 g of salicylic acid). The course of treatment is not more than 1 week.

    In combination therapy hyperkeretic skin diseases, fungal nail infections.

    Acne: 2% lotion lubricate the affected skin 3 times a day.

    Warts on the soles of the feet and palms: 50% paraffin-based ointment or 11-26% solution daily lubricate lesions.

    Otitis: Bury 6 drops in the ear canal 2 times a day.

    Allergic reactions, local reactions (burning, itching, hyperemia).

    Interaction:

    Hypoglycemic agents, derivatives of sulfonylureas - enhancing their action.

    Methotrexate - it is possible to increase its side effects.

    Resorcinol is a pharmaceutical incompatibility (melting mixtures are formed).

    Means for topical application - increasing their absorption.

    Zinc oxide is a pharmaceutical incompatibility (an insoluble zinc salicylate is formed).

    Special instructions:

    The solution for external use includes ethanol.
