    Pharmacodynamics:

Anti-inflammatory action salicylic acid is due to inhibition of COX-2 activity, which leads to a decrease in the production of inflammatory mediators - prostaglandins Pg D2, E2 and I2.

Drying effect zinc oxide is due to the formation of albumins and denaturation of proteins. When applied to the affected surface of the skin reduces the severity of exudative processes, eliminates local manifestations of inflammation and irritation; has an adsorbing effect, forms a protective coating on the skin, which reduces the effect of irritants on it.

    Pharmacokinetics:

Absorption from the skin surface is insignificant; association with plasma proteins; excretion mainly by the kidneys in the form of inactive metabolites.
