    Pharmacodynamics:

    The preparation is of plant origin. Contains essential oils, tannins, resins, flavonoids, alkaloids, ursolic, oleanoic and chlorogenic acids, vitamin P, nicotinic acid, bitter, uviol, paradiphenol, gum, starch, protein substances, phytoncides.

    It has astringent, local anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral effects. Anti-inflammatory effect due to tannins, flavonoid compounds and vitamin P, which tighten epithelial tissues, reduce the permeability of cell membranes, the walls of blood and lymph vessels.

    It is active against gram-positive microflora, Staphylococcus aureus (inactivates its alpha-toxin, suppresses hemolytic and dermatone-crotic properties).

    Contraindications:

    Carefully:

    Lactation period. Efficacy and safety of use in children have not been studied.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Category by FDA not determined. Not recommended for use in pregnancy.

    Use with caution in the period of breastfeeding, since sage can suppress lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Assign in the form of infusion outside - for rinses, rinses, lotions and preparation of baths, ionophoresis, applications.

    To prepare the infusion for outdoor use, 5 grams (1 tablespoon) of raw materials are placed in enamel ware, poured 200 ml (1 glass) of boiled water, covered with a lid, heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled for 45 minutes at room temperature, filtered , squeeze out. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    When using filter bags: 3-4 filter packs (4.5-6 grams) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes,the contents of the filter bags are squeezed out, the volume of the obtained infusion is brought to boiling water to 100 ml.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions. When ingestion in high doses (more than 15 g of dried grass) tachycardia, tinnitus, vomiting, convulsions are possible.

    Overdose:

    Not described. Treatment is symptomatic.
