    Pharmacodynamics:

    The main active substances of Silimar ® are flavolignans, obtained from the fruits of milk thistle spotted Silybum marianum (L.) Gaerth. sem.astroids - Asteraceae.

    The drug has a hepatoprotective and antitoxic effect. The therapeutic effect is due to the effect on the metabolism of hepatocytes. Activates the synthesis of proteins and enzymes in hepatocytes, has a stabilizing effect on the membrane of hepatocytes, inhibits the penetration of toxins into liver cells, inhibits dystrophic and potentiates the regenerative processes of the liver

    Indications:

    Silimar ® is taken with toxic liver damage, chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis (as part of complex therapy), after hepatitis. Preventively applied for chronic intoxications (including professional), long-term use of drugs and alcohol.


    Contraindications:

    Individual intolerance.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Applied in adults and children over 12 years inside 1-2 tablets 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 25-30 days. In chronic diseases, repeated courses of treatment are recommended in 1 to 3 months. For preventive purposes, it is recommended to take silimar for chronic intoxications (including professional ones), long-term use of drugs and alcohol.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible, in some cases, a laxative effect.

    Special instructions:

    It is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy, lactation and children under 12 years.
