    Description:The preparation is a biomass slurry of live Bacillus subtilis 534 bacilli in a 7% solution of sodium chloride, white or slightly yellow with a specific smell and salty taste; upon sedimentation a loose sediment of different hues is formed from white to light brown, breaking with shaking.

    A.07.F.A   Antidiarrhoeal preparations of biological origin regulating the balance of intestinal microflora

    Pharmacodynamics:Biological properties. Bacillus subtilis bacteria of strain 534 release broad-spectrum antibacterial substances that inhibit the development of a number of pathogenic and opportunistic bacteria. The growth of saprophytes, including normal microflora of the intestine, is not inhibited by sporobacterin.
    The culture of Bacillus subtilis strain 534 also produces other biologically active substances, such as proteolytic enzymes, lysozyme, lipases, amylases and others, which promote the digestion of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, participating in the digestion and assimilation of food.In addition, enzymes of bacteria contribute to the purification of wounds, inflammatory foci from necrotic tissues. The drug has a pronounced immunostimulating effect, including on the absorbing and digesting activity of phagocytic blood cells, has a moderate antiallergic effect.
    Indications:- Acute bacterial intestinal infections, including acute dysentery, salmonellosis, etc .;
    - Dysbacteriosis of different etiology;
    - surgical infections of soft tissues;
    - osteomyelitis (in the absence of large sequestration);
    - for the prevention and treatment of complications caused by pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms in surgical and obstetric-gynecological operations.
    Sporobacterin is prescribed for children older than 6 months and adults.
    Contraindications:Contraindications for use sporobakterina not identified. The drug should be used with caution in drug allergies. The effect of the drug on pregnant women has not been studied.
    Pregnancy and lactation:The effect of the drug on pregnant women has not been studied.
    The drug can be used during lactation.
    Dosing and Administration:Sporobacterin appoint children over 6 months and adults.
    The prescribed dose of the drug is diluted 10-15 times with chilled boiled water. Sporobacterin appoint for 30-40 minutes before meals.

    CHILDREN:

    - for the treatment of acute bacterial intestinal infections, including acute dysentery, salmonellosis: at the age of 6 months to 3 years, administer 0.5 ml (8-10 drops) twice a day for 7-10 days; over 3 years - 1 ml (17-20 drops) 2 times a day for 7-10 days;
    -for the treatment of dysbacteriosis after bacterial infections or antibiotic use: at the age of 6 months to 3 years, appoint 0.5 ml (8-10 drops) through the mouth 2 times a day for 20 days, over 3 years - 1 ml (17-20 drops) 2 times a day for 20 days.
    In the presence of dysbiosis in a nursing mother, she is recommended to take the drug 1 ml 2 times a day during the period of treatment of the child.
    ADULT:
    for the treatment of acute bacterial intestinal infections, including acute dysentery, salmonellosis: the drug is administered through the mouth to 1 ml (17-20 drops) 2 times a day for 7-10 days;

    for treatment and prevention of surgical infection of soft tissues: the drug is administered through the mouth 1 ml 2 times a day for 7-10 days.
    for prophylactically purulent-septic complications in the postoperative period: the drug is administered through the mouth at 5 ml once a day (overnight) for 5 days before the operation and 5 ml 1 time per day (overnight) for 5 days after surgery or injury.
    If necessary, treatment courses can be repeated.
    !! The opened vial with the drug, closed with a lid, can be stored for no more than 10 days at a temperature of 4 to 8 ° C.
    Side effects:In rare cases, there may be side effects in the form of chills, rashes on the skin, abdominal pain, diarrhea. With a reduction in dosage or cancellation of the drug, these phenomena completely stop within a day.
    Overdose:When using the drug according to the indications of undesirable reactions it was not revealed.
    Interaction:The simultaneous use of antibiotics and sulfonamides can reduce the therapeutic effectiveness of sporobacterin.
