Composition:

Active components: tirotricin 2 mg, benzocaine 3.5 mg.

Auxiliary components: xylitol, povidone K90, magnesium stearate, quinoline yellow color E104, dye sunset yellow E110, lemon flavor, honey aroma.

Description:

Round tablets with a bevel of yellow-orange color with impregnations of more dark and light color. On one side of the tablet is an engraving: "RAFA "and an image of an umbrella, a smell of honey-lemon.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:Antiseptic + local anesthetic
Pharmacodynamics:

Combined drug, has antiseptic and local anesthetic effect. Reduces irritation and pain in the throat, as well as swelling of the oral mucosa. Benzocaine local anesthetic for superficial anesthesia. Reduces the permeability of the cell membrane for sodium, displaces calcium from receptors located on the inner surface of the membrane, blocks the conduct of nerve impulses. When applied to the surface of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, the effect develops after 1 min.

Tirotricin is an antibiotic obtained from bacteria of the species Bacillus brevis; is a mixture of cyclic and linear (aliphatic) polypeptides.The mixture contains up to 70-80% of tyrocidin (alkaline cyclic decapeptide) and 20-30% of gramicidin (neutral linear pentadecapeptide). It is active against a wide range of gram-positive microorganisms and spirochaetes of the oral cavity.

Indications:

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat with severe pain syndrome (symptomatic therapy).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any component included in the preparation.

Children's age (up to 18 years).

Pregnancy and lactation.

Do not apply to patients of both sexes when planning a pregnancy.

Dosing and Administration:

1 tablet every 2-3 hours. The tablet should be slowly resorbed in the mouth. Duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, contact dermatitis, persistent decrease in sensitivity of the oral mucosa. Skin rash, swelling of the oral mucosa or pharynx. If these symptoms appear, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor.

Overdose:Symptoms: cyanosis, dyspnea, dizziness. Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction:Benzocaine due to the formation of its metabolite 4-aminobenzoic acid reduces the antibacterial activity of sulfonamides and aminosalicylates.
Special instructions:

When no effect within two days should consult a doctor. The drug does not contain sugar, so it can be used in patients with concomitant diabetes.
