    Pharmacodynamics:The drug belongs to the list of psychotropic substances (list III). Oxazepam belongs to the group of 1,4-benzodiazepine derivatives. The drug acts on many structures of the central nervous system - primarily on the limbic system and hypothalamus, i.e. on the structures associated with the regulation of emotional activity. Like all other benzodiazepines, it enhances the inhibitory effect of GABA-ergic neurons of the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, cerebellum, thalamus, and hypothalamus. The existence of specific binding sites for benzodiazepines, which are protein structures of the cell membrane that have a connection with the complex,consisting of the GABA-A receptor and chlorine canal.
    Mechanism of action     Oxazepam is associated with modulation sensitivity of GABA-ergic receptor leading to an increase affinity receptor for gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is inhibitory endogenous a neurotransmitter. The effect of activation benzodiazepine receptor or GABA-A is an increase in ion transport Chlorine inside the neuron through the chlorine canal, which leads to hyperpolarization cell membrane, and eventually to oppression activity of neurons.
    Oxazepam has anxiolytic, sedative and hypnotic effects.
    Has a weak relaxing effect on skeletal musculature.


    Form release / dosage:Film-coated tablets, 10 mg.
    Packaging:25 tablets coated with a film sheath in a blister of their polyvinyl chloride film and aluminum foil. Two blisters together with the instructions for use are placed in a cardboard box, equipped with stickers of control of the first opening.
    Storage conditions:Store in a dry, dark place, at a temperature of no higher than 25 FROM. Keep out of the reach of children. The drug belongs to the list of psychotropic substances (list III).
