    Combined drug.

    Thermopsis extract has an expectorant effect, having a moderate irritant effect on receptors of the gastric mucosa, reflexively increases the secretion of the bronchial glands. The thermocapsa alkaloids contained in the grasscytisine, methylcytisine, pachycarpine, anagyrin, thermopsin, thermopsidin) exert a stimulating effect on the respiratory, and in high doses - on the vomiting centers.

    Licorice extract has an expectorant effect due, first of all, to the presence of glycyrrhizin, which enhances the secretory function of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract.Potassium bromide reduces the excitability of the central nervous system. Ammonium chloride has an expectorant, diuretic effect.

    Indications:

    As part of a comprehensive therapy of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-recover sputum (tracheitis, bronchitis, tracheobronchitis).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum during an exacerbation, alcoholism, epilepsy, liver disease, brain injury, brain disease, sugar deficiency / isomaltase, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding , age up to 3 years.

    Carefully:

    Diabetes; persons on a diet with a reduced carbohydrate content; children age over 3 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, after eating.

    Children from 3 to 6 years - by 1/2 a teaspoonful 3 times a day.

    Children from 6 to 12 years old - 1 teaspoonful 3 times a day.

    To teenagers from 12 till 18 years - 1 dessert spoon 3 times a day.

    Adults - 1 tablespoon 3 times a day.

    The average course of treatment is 10-14 days. Conducting repeated courses of treatment is possible after consultation with a doctor.
    Side effects:

    Overdose:

    Do not use simultaneously with drugs containing antitussive drugs, as this makes it difficult to separate diluted sputum.

    Patients with diabetes and people on a diet with a reduced carbohydrate diet should take into account that one teaspoon of the drug contains about 3.48 g of sucrose (0.29 XE), in one dessert spoon - about 6.96 g of sucrose (0 , 58 XE), in one tablespoon - about 10.44 g of sucrose (0.87 XE).

    The alcohol content in the preparation is from 8.5 to 11.5%.

    In a single dose the maximum content of absolute alcohol (ethanol) is:

    in children from 3 to 6 years - about 0.23 g; from 6 to 12 years about 0.45 g; from 12 to 18 years - about 0.91 g;

    in adults - about 1.36 g.

    In a daily dose the maximum content of absolute alcohol (ethanol) is:

    in children from 3 to 6 years - about 0.68 g; from 6 to 12 years - about 1.36 g; from 12 to 18 years - about 2.72 g;

    in adults - about 4.08 g.

    During drug treatment it is necessary to refrain from carrying out potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (vehicle management, work with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work).
