    Pharmacodynamics:Spasmolytic agent, has analgesic effect. Possessing anticholinergic activity, causes relaxation of smooth muscles.
    Pharmacokinetics:The drug is well absorbed, and easier and faster after intramuscular injection (10-20 min) than after ingestion (after 60-90 min). The average plasma half-life is 1.8 hours. It is excreted from the body after 9-10 hours mainly with urine (about 80%) and in small amounts - with feces.
    Indications:Spasms of smooth muscles of internal organs - intestinal, hepatic, renal colic, algodismenorea.
    Contraindications:
    Hypersensitivity, angle-closure glaucoma, obstructive bowel, bile and urinary tract, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcers (acute phase), reflux esophagitis, hypovolemic shock, myasthenia gravis, children under the age of 6 months.
    Carefully:
    Precautions - children, patients with impaired hepatic or renal function, tachyarrhythmia, congestive heart failure, ulcerative colitis.
    Pregnancy and lactation:The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is contraindicated.
    Dosing and Administration:
    Intramuscularly. Adults in 2 ml (20 mg) once. If necessary, repeated administration is carried out at intervals of 4-6 hours. The maximum daily intake for adults is 80 mg.
    Children (depending on the age) - 5-10 mg once. If necessary, re-administered after 6 hours.
    Duration of application no more than 2 days.
    Increasing the dose of the drug or the duration of treatment requires careful monitoring by the doctor.
    Side effects:Allergic reactions, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, loss of taste, anorexia, constipation, drowsiness,dizziness, paralysis of accommodation, increased intraocular pressure, urinary retention, in some cases - psychosis.
    Overdose:
    Intoxication with dicyclovir leads to tachycardia, increased respiration, increased body temperature, stimulation of the central nervous system.
    For the removal of severe excitation and seizures, the administration of phenothiazines (chlorpromazine and etc.)

    Interaction:
    The action of dicycloverin enhances amantadine, Class I antiarrhythmics, antipsychotics, benzodiazepines, MAO inhibitors, narcotic analgesics, nitrates and nitrites, sympathomimetic drugs, tricyclic antidepressants, adrenostimulators, M-cholinoblockers, glucocorticosteroids.
    Dicycloverin, reducing the peristalsis of the gastrointestinal tract, increases the absorption time of digoxin, which increases the concentration of digoxin in the blood.
    Special instructions:
    The use of the drug in high ambient temperatures can cause fever or heat stroke due to decreased sweating. This effect can be minimized by simultaneous application of paracetamol.
