Composition:

active substances: caffeine (caffeine anhydrous) - 50 mg, naproxen - 75 mg, salicylamide 600 mg

Excipients: fat solid (vitepsol, supposir) - a sufficient amount to obtain a suppository with a mass of 2.20 g.

Description:

Suppositories white or white with a yellowish or creamy hue of color, torpedo-shaped. On the longitudinal section of the suppository there should be no inclusions, an air rod or a funnel-shaped depression is allowed.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Cefekon® H is a combined preparation, analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory.

    Naproxen and salicylamide are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), the mechanism of their action is associated with the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and the influence of the thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus.

    Caffeine has a psycho-stimulating, analeptic and antispasmodic effect on smooth muscles.

    Indications:

    • as an anesthetic for pain syndrome of mild to moderate severity: neuralgia, myalgia, sciatica, lumbago; degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the musculoskeletal system (osteochondrosis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis); headache and toothache, migraine; dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation);
    • as an antipyretic: febrile syndrome for colds, infectious, inflammatory diseases.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, gastric and duodenal ulcer (exacerbation phase), complete or incomplete combination of bronchial asthma, recurrent nasal polyposis and paranasal sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs (including in the history), hypocoagulation, severe , renal and / or hepatic insufficiency, arterial hypertension, organic diseases of the cardiovascular system, heart failure, blood diseases, swelling, pathology of the vestibular apparatus, constant prices irritability, insomnia, angle-closure glaucoma, children's age (16 years), pregnancy, lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Rectal! The suppository is released from the contoured cell package and after spontaneous emptying of the intestine or cleansing enema is injected deep into the rectum 1 suppository 1-3 times a day. After the introduction of the suppository should stay in a horizontal position for 30-40 minutes.

    Duration of admission without consulting a doctor is no more than 5 days when prescribed as an anesthetic and 3 days as an antipyretic.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions, dizziness, agitation, drowsiness, slowing of the speed of psychomotor reactions, tinnitus, tachycardia, increased blood pressure, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia, impaired function, liver and / or kidney, itching and pain in the rectum.

    Overdose:

    No cases of overdose of Cefekon® H have been reported

    Interaction:

    Naproxen reduces the hypotensive effect of beta-blockers. With simultaneous application naproxen can cause a decrease in the diuretic, furosemide effect. Naproxen increases the toxicity of phenytoin, sulfonamides, methotrexate.

    Salicylamide strengthens the effect of indirect anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, fibrinolytics. Salicylamide increases the risk of the development of side effects of glucocorticosteroids, mineralocorticosteroids, estrogens in a joint application. With the simultaneous use of salicylamide with myelotoxic drugs, the risk of suppression of cerebral circulation (hemopoiesis) increases.

    Caffeine accelerates absorption and enhances the action of cardiac glycosides, increases their toxicity. Joint use of caffeine with beta-blockers can lead to mutual suppression of therapeutic effects; with adrenergic bronchodilating drugs for additional stimulation of the central nervous system, and other additive toxic effects.

    Special instructions:

    If there is itching or discomfort in the rectum, stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

    Special studies on the effect of the drug on the ability to manage motor vehicles and mechanisms were not carried out.

    During treatment, you should be careful when driving and occupation of other potentially hazardous activities that require high concentration of attention, psychomotor speed of reaction and good vision.
