    Pharmacodynamics:

    A remedy for asthenic conditions. Citrulline is an amino acid that participates in the urea exchange cycle. Citrulline is built into the urea cycle and increases the excretion of ammonium ions; Malate is involved in the Krebs cycle and the process of gluconeogenesis, reduces the level of lactate in the blood.

    Promotes the normalization of metabolism and activation of nonspecific protective factors of the body.

    Pharmacokinetics:After ingestion, the drug is rapidly absorbed from the digestive tract. Maximum concentration in blood plasma is achieved on average after 50 minutes. Quickly removed from the plasma. After 6 hours, the plasma concentration is close to physiological.

    Since the active ingredient is included in the processes of cellular metabolism, only small amounts of it are found in the urine.

    Indications:

    Symptomatic treatment of functional asthenia, including fatigue, in the process of recovery, during pregnancy, in the elderly, in the postoperative period, with sexual asthenia, asthenia in athletes.

    Contraindications:

    Peptic ulcer in the stage of exacerbation, increased individual sensitivity to the drug.

    Carefully:

    Caution should be given to patients on a salt-free diet (1 sachet or ampoule contain 30 mg of sodium).

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Category of recommendations for FDA is not defined. Adequate and well-controlled studies on humans and animals have not been conducted.

    There is no information on the penetration into breast milk. Application of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible only if the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Adults. Inside with food, drinking 1/2 cup water, 200 mg 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 12 days.

    Children. For the treatment of asthenia inside: up to 5 years - 200 mg once a day, 5-15 years - 200 mg 2 times a day.

    Citrulline can be used as a food supplement.

    Side effects:

    Possible: unpleasant sensations in the stomach (at the beginning of treatment), allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Not described.Treatment is symptomatic.

    Monitoring: the concentration of urea in the blood.
