    Composition:

    Description:

    The liquid from red-orange to brown-red color, transparent, almost odorless.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    The antibacterial drug is active against gram-positive - Gram (+) and gram-negative - Gram (-) bacteria, including: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella spp. The drug is also active against trichomonads and Candida albicans. It also has cauterizing and astringent action. Has a local vasoconstrictor and hemostatic effect. Accelerates the regeneration of epithelial cells. With topical application, coagulates the necrotic tissue, forming a scab of white opalescent color, which is rejected after 2-7 days.

    The use of Vagotil does not lead to the appearance of scars.

    Indications:

    Erosion of the vagina and cervix (including pressure caused by pessaries).

    Vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis and Candida albicans.

    Bleeding after diagnostic biopsy and removal of polyps, electrocoagulation of cervical erosion.

    Local treatment of hard-healing wounds, including trophic ulcers of the lower leg.

    With a haemostatic purpose for small surgical and dental interventions.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Pregnancy and lactation.

    Application of the drug during menstruation in the treatment of gynecological diseases.

    When using the drug for the treatment of gynecological diseases should abandon the sexual life and not use soap solutions for hygienic procedures.

    Dosing and Administration:

    The drug is used only for topical application.

    With erosion of the vagina and cervix for 1-3 minutes, apply a swab soaked in the drug, the excess drug should be removed with a dry swab. The procedure should be repeated 2-3 times a week, but not more than 10 days.

    With ulcers, cracks in the mucous membrane, burns, and also for syringing the vagina, use a solution obtained by diluting 5-15 ml of the drug in 1 liter of warm water.

    In order to stop bleeding (hemostasis), a swab moistened with the drug is applied to the bleeding spot for 1-3 minutes.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions (local irritation, itching, burning, rash, anaphylaxis); when performing gynecological procedures - redness, swelling of the vagina and vulva, the feeling of a foreign body in the vagina; when using the drug in dentistry - damage to the tooth enamel.

    Overdose:

    Cases of drug overdose Vagotil are not known.

    Interaction:

    With preparations that have an alkaline reaction, an exothermic reaction occurs, which intensifies the chemical burn of the mucous membranes.

    Special instructions:

    The drug is used strictly according to the doctor's prescription.

    The drug is used only for topical application.

    When using the drug, other drugs for topical use are not used.

    When used in dentistry, avoid getting the drug on the tooth enamel, in case of contact with the teeth, rinse the mouth thoroughly with warm water.

    In vaginal smears of HIV-infected women who use polycreated, an increased number of copies of ribonucleic acid (RNA) of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1), which can facilitate infection of the partner.

    Special precautions for the destruction of unused medicinal product

    Drugs should not be disposed of in sewers or in household waste containers. You should ask the pharmacist what to do with unnecessary medicines. This will help protect the environment.
