  • Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined drug, has sedative, as well as spasmolytic action. Pharmacological activity is due to its constituent components of plant origin and diphenhydramine.

    Hawthorn tincture has a moderate cardiotonic, spasmolytic, sedative effect.

    Valerian tincture due to the ester borneol and isovaleric acid and free valerian acid has a moderately expressed sedative and spasmolytic (with respect to smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract) action. Facilitates the onset of natural sleep. Sedation is slow, but fairly stable. It also has a cholagogue effect, increases the secretion of the glands of the gastrointestinal tract.

    Peppermint peppermint has a moderate spasmolytic effect on the organs of the gastrointestinal tract and a mild sedative effect, has choleretic properties.

    Motherwort tincture has a sedative, moderate cardiotonic (slows the rhythm and increases the strength of the heartbeat), has moderate hypotensive properties.

    Diphenhydramine - blocker H1-gistaminovyh receptors of the first generation, has anti-allergic, sedative and hypnotic effects. Influence on the central nervous system is due to blockade H3-gistaminovyh receptors of the brain and oppression of cholinergic structures.

    Pharmacokinetics:The effect of the drug is the combined effect of its components, therefore it is not possible to carry out pharmacokinetic studies.
    Indications:As a sedative for neuroses, vegetative-vascular dystonia with a tendency to increase blood pressure and palpitation.
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, a tendency to arterial hypotension, acute and chronic heart failure,reduction in the heart rate (less than 55 beats per minute), epilepsy, alcoholism, traumatic brain injury, brain diseases, renal and / or liver dysfunction, age under 18 years (efficacy and safety of admission not established).

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Special clinical studies on the use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding have not been carried out, so its use in the above conditions is not recommended.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside adults, 30-40 drops, previously diluted in a small amount of water, 3-4 times a day, 30 minutes before eating.

    The course of treatment is 10-15 days.

    Conducting repeated courses of treatment is possible on the recommendation of a doctor, but not earlier than 1-1,5 months.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions; rarely - dyspepsia; with prolonged use - dryness of the oral mucosa.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: oppression or excitation (especially in children with random admission) of central nervous functionssystem, depression, dilated pupils, dry mouth, slowing down the motility of the gastrointestinal tract.

    Treatment: there is no specific antidote. Gastric lavage. Supportive measures include monitoring blood pressure, if necessary, drugs that increase blood pressure, oxygen, introduction of plasma-substituting fluids intravenously. Can not use epinephrine (Adrenaline) and analeptics.
    Interaction:With simultaneous administration with drugs that depress the central nervous system (sedatives, hypnotics, tranquilizers, antipsychotics), mutual enhancement of effects is possible.
    Inhibitors of monoamine oxidase (MAO) increase the anticholinergic activity of diphenhydramine.
    Special instructions:

    The content of ethyl alcohol in the preparation is not less than 67%.

    The content of absolute ethyl alcohol in a single dose (30-40 drops) from 0.72 to 0.96 g, and in the maximum daily dose (160 drops) - 3.84 g.
