Symptoms: intoxication manifests general weakness, generalized paresthesia, memory and coordination disorders, severe headache, dizziness,tremor, tachycardia, arterial hypertension and a sense of fear, a significant increase in the level of norepinephrine in the blood plasma, nausea, vomiting, mydriasis, saliva and lacrimation, increased sweating.
Treatment: as an antidote for overdose can be used clonidine, which immediately eliminates the clinical manifestations of intoxication. Assign inside the dose of 0.1-0.2 mg, then again at hourly intervals at a dose of 0.1 mg until complete normalization of the condition. The hypertensive crisis is terminated by the appointment of a combination of a β-adrenergic blocker with an α-adrenoreceptor blocker or a peripheral vasodilator. To eliminate feelings of fear or hallucinations, benzodiazepines are prescribed. Do not prescribe neuroleptics phenothiazine series.
