    Composition:

    100 g of gel contain:

    active substance: blood components - deproteinized hemoderivat of calves' blood: 20 ml (corresponding to 0.8 g of dry mass);

    Excipients: carmellose sodium, propylene glycol, calcium lactate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.

  • Pharmacodynamics:

    ACTOVEGIN ® - antihypoxant, activates the metabolism of glucose and oxygen. ACTOVEGIN® causes an increase in cellular energy metabolism. Its activity is confirmed by increased consumption and increased utilization of glucose and oxygen by cells. These two effects are conjugate, they cause an increase in the metabolism of ATP and, consequently, increase energy metabolism. The result is the stimulation and acceleration of the healing process, characterized by increased energy consumption.

    Indications:
    • Wounds and inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes: burns (including sun damage), cuts of the skin, abrasions, scratches, cracks.
    • In order to improve tissue regeneration after burns, including after burning with boiling liquid or steam.
    • As an initial therapy of soaking ulcers.
    • For the prevention and treatment of reactions from the skin and mucous membranes caused by exposure to radiation.
    • For the preliminary treatment of wound surfaces before skin transplantation in the treatment of burn disease.
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug ACTOVEGIN® or similar drugs.

    Pregnancy and lactation:Use in pregnancy and lactation allowed.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly.

    The gel is applied a thin layer on the affected areas several times a day. To clean the ulcer surfaces, a thick layer of gel is applied and closed with a compress with 5% ointment ACTOVEGIN® or a gauze dressing impregnated with ointment. The bandage is changed once a day, when treating heavily soaked surfaces - several times a day. Further treatment should be continued with ACTOVEGIN® 5% in the form of a cream or ACTOVEGIN® 5% in the form of an ointment.

    Side effects:

    Usually the drug is well tolerated.

    At the beginning of treatment with the drug ACTOVEGIN® 20% gel, local pain may occur due to local edema of the tissues. However, this is not evidence of drug intolerance.If the pain persists or the expected effect of the drug is not reached, you should consult your doctor.

    In patients who have a history of hypersensitivity reactions, in rare cases, allergic reactions may develop.

    For 20 grams, 30 grams, 50 grams, 100 grams in aluminum tubes with the control of the first opening and a plastic lid. 1 tube with instructions for use is placed in a cardboard box.
