    Pharmacodynamics:

Means of plant origin. The root of the althaea contains up to 35% of plant mucus, betaine, starch, asparagine, pectin substances. Provides enveloping, softening, expectorant, anti-inflammatory effect. Plant mucus envelops the mucous membranes with a thin layer, which is permanently retained on the surface and protects them from irritation. As a result, the inflammatory process decreases and spontaneous tissue regeneration is facilitated. When exposed to the gastric mucosa, the protective effect of the film from plant mucus is the longer and more effective the higher the acidity of the gastric juice (the viscosity of the plant mucus rises when it comes into contact with hydrochloric acid).

    Pharmacokinetics:

    No data.
