Hawthorn fruit - instructions for use, dose, side effects, contraindications

Powder. A mixture of particles of fruit passing through a sieve with apertures 3 mm in size. Color from yellow-orange and brownish-red to brown with separate dark and brownish impregnations. The smell is absent. The taste of water extract is sweetish.

C.01.E.B.04 Hawthorn glycosides

Pharmacodynamics:

Has cardiotonic, spasmolytic and moderate sedative effect, shows hypotensive properties, normalizes blood coagulability.

Indications:

In complex therapy of functional disorders of cardiovascular activity (neurocircular dystonia, cardialgia).

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance of the drug, pregnancy (1 trimester), children's age (up to 12 years).

Dosing and Administration:

2 filter bags are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 30 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the obtained extract is brought to boiling water to 100 ml.

Take inside 1/2 glass 2-3 times a day for 30 minutes before eating. The course of treatment is 20-30 days.

It is recommended to stir the broth before use.

Side effects:

Possible allergic reactions, lowering blood pressure, bradycardia (with prolonged use).

Interaction:

When combined with cardiac glycosides, the cardiotonic effect increases; with beta-adrenoblockers - increased hypotensive effect.

Packaging:2.0 grams in filter packs of 10, 20, 24, 30, 50 pieces in a pack of cardboard. The text of the instructions for use is completely applied to the pack.

Storage conditions:

Store in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of the reach of children.

Broth - in a cool place no more than 2 days.

Shelf life:

2 years.
