    Extract for oral administration is liquid.

    Composition:

    To obtain 1000 ml of the drug used: Herbs Echinacea purpura - 1000 g, Ethanol (ethanol) 40% - a sufficient amount to produce 1000 ml of the drug.

    Description:

    Transparent liquid of red-brown color, a peculiar smell. During storage, slight opalescence and a small precipitate are allowed.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    It has immunostimulating, antiviral and anti-inflammatory action,stimulates bone marrow hematopoiesis, as a result of which the number of leukocytes and cells of the spleen (reticulo-endothelial system) increases. Preferably activates cellular immunity, stimulates the phagocytic activity of macrophages and granulocyte chemotaxis, promotes the release of cytokine that increases the production of interleukin 1 macrophages accelerates transformation of B lymphocytes into plasma cells, antibody production and enhances T helper activity.

    Indications:

    Immunodeficiency states (including on the background of mental and physical fatigue), manifested by acute infectious diseases: "catarrhal" diseases, influenza, infectious and inflammatory diseases of the nasopharynx and oral cavity, recurrent infections of the respiratory and urinary tract. Secondary immunodeficiency states after antibiotic therapy, cytostatic, immunosuppressive and radiotherapy.

    Contraindications:

    Progressive systemic diseases: tuberculosis, leukemia, collagenoses, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, HIV infection, autoimmune diseases; hypersensitivity to the plant family Asteraceae, pregnancy and lactation, children under the age of 12 years.

    Carefully:

    Diabetes mellitus, chronic liver disease, chronic alcoholism, bronchial asthma.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, regardless of food intake, with a little water.

    Adults and children from 12 years: 25-30 drops 3 times a day, with acute infections up to 50 drops (as part of complex therapy).

    The average course of treatment is 2-3 weeks, but not more than 8 weeks.

    Carrying out a second course of treatment is possible after consulting a doctor.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions (skin hyperemia, skin rash, face swelling, shortness of breath, sweating, lowering blood pressure).

    Overdose:

    Symptoms (when taking large doses of oral solution): nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, insomnia, increased excitability of the nervous system. Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    It is possible to use simultaneously with antibiotics and other antimicrobial drugs. The drug in the form of drops contains ethanol and can alter the effect of cephalosporin derivatives (cefamandol, cefotetan, cefmenoxime, cefapperasone, moxalatam), ethanol-containing beverages.

    Reduces the effectiveness of immunosuppressants.

    Special instructions:

    When taking the drug in the form of drops with cephalosporin derivatives or ethanol-containing beverages, nausea, sweating, headache, and palpitation may occur (taking the drug containing ethanol, is possible in 3 days after the termination of a course of treatment by the above derivatives of cephalosporin).

    Does not affect the concentration of attention and psychomotor reaction.

    Packaging:

    For 50 or 100 ml in bottles of orange glass. Each vial with instructions for use in a pack of cardboard.

    Storage conditions:

    In a place protected from light, out of reach of children, at a temperature of 8 to 15 ° C.

    Shelf life:

    2 years.
