Composition:

100 g of ointment contains:

active ingredients - heparin sodium 50 000 ME, allantoin 0.30 g, dexpanthenol 0.40 g;

Pharmacodynamics:Combined preparation for topical application. Heparin prevents the formation of blood clots, has anti-edematous and anti-inflammatory effect, improves local blood flow. Allantoin has an anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates metabolic processes in tissues and promotes. cell proliferation. Dexpanthenol improves the absorption of heparin, stimulates granulation and epithelialization of tissues.

Pharmacokinetics:

After local application to the skin, heparin relatively quickly penetrates through the epidermis and accumulates in the upper layers of the skin. From the tissues is withdrawn slowly with a half-life of about 1h.

Dextpanthenol is converted to pantothenic acid after resorption into the skin.

Indications:Thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins; trophic ulcers of the lower leg (for ointment); sports injuries, tendovaginitis; inflammatory infiltrates.

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, infected skin lesions, children under 5 years.

Pregnancy and lactation:Possible use of the drug in the III trimester of pregnancy. Caution is necessary (presuming the ratio of the expected benefit for a woman to the possible risk to the fetus or child) to prescribe the drug in the first and second trimester of pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Dosing and Administration:

The drug Gepatrombin is used externally, including the third trimester of pregnancy.

In thrombosis, sports injuries, tendovaginitis, inflammatory infiltrates, a column of ointment 5 cm 2 times a day (morning and evening) is applied.

With varicose veins, thrombophlebitis ointment is applied with light rubbing movements in the direction from the bottom upwards, single dose to rub not completely, but in separate portions; with trophic ulcers (without violation of the integrity of the skin) - ointment is applied in the form of a ring around the ulcerative defect. The recommended course of treatment is 10-14 days. The possibility of a longer treatment is determined by the doctor.

Side effects:Allergic reactions (skin rash, skin hyperemia, urticaria, angioedema).

Overdose:Overdose is unlikely in connection with low systemic absorption of active substances.

Interaction:Clinically significant interactions with other drugs have not been identified. However, if the drug is used concomitantly with other drugs applied to the skin, special caution is recommended.
