Pharmacodynamics:

Stabilizes the cell membranes, interacts with the active forms of oxygen, free radicals, shows the properties of the chelator of metals of variable valence. Histochrome reduces the amount of products of lipid peroxidation, the content of which increases with cardiovascular diseases. Has a cardioprotective effect in its use in patients with successful thrombolytic therapy of myocardial infarction. The use of histochrome leads to a decrease in the frequency of reperfusion arrhythmias, including life-threatening (ventricular extrasystoles IVa and - IVb classes, paroxysmal ventricular) and supraventricular tachycardia; does not have a significant effect on atrioventricular and intraventricular conduction. Histochrome slows the formation of necrosis in the first two or three days.

Additional to coronary thrombolysis, treatment with histochrome of patients with myocardial infarction improves myocardial contractility and reduces the incidence of acute left ventricular failure during the first day of the disease.
Pharmacokinetics:
Indications:Acute myocardial infarction in combination with thrombolytic drugs.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Age to 18 years (effectiveness and safety not established).

Pregnancy and lactation:

The same dose can be re-introduced within 24 hours. Administration of the drug is possible intravenously drip: 1 or 2 ampoules (50-100 mg of the drug) are dissolved in 100 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

Side effects:When intravenous drip infusion of histochrome may appear pain along the vein (without the development of phlebitis). In the first two days after the application of histochrome, urine was stained dark red. Allergic reactions are possible.
