  • Other combined drugs used for catarrhal diseases
  • Pharmacodynamics:

Combined drug, has antipyretic, analgesic, angioprotective, anticongestive (anti-edematous) effect.

    Paracetamol has antipyretic, analgesic effect.

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is involved in the regulation of carbohydrate metabolism, redox processes, the synthesis of steroid hormones, tissue regeneration, activates immune responses, reduces the permeability of capillaries, enhances detoxification of the liver, regulates blood clotting processes. It replenishes vitamin C deficiency with "cold" diseases.

succinic acid strengthens biochemical and physiological recovery processes. Has hepatoprotective, immunomodulating and antioxidant effect. Activates energy processes in the mitochondria, normalizes the permeability of cell membranes, is an intermediate of the Krebs cycle. In combination with drugs enhances their positive effect and reduces the manifestation of toxic effects.

Rutozid reduces permeability of capillaries, removes puffiness and inflammation, strengthens the vascular wall, inhibits aggregation and increases the degree of erythrocyte deformation.

Phenylephrine stimulates postsynaptic alpha-adrenergic receptors, reduces edema and hyperemia of the nasal mucosa, restores free breathing, reduces pressure in the paranasal sinuses and the middle ear.

Indications:Symptomatic treatment of "colds" and flu, accompanied by fever, headache, chills, nasal congestion, pain in the throat and nasal sinuses.
    Contraindications:

If you have any of the following diseases or conditions, always consult a doctor before taking the drug.

Lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome (due to the presence of lactose in the composition). Pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding.Children under 18 years.

    Carefully:

If you have any of the following diseases or conditions, always consult a doctor before taking the drug.

Benign hyperbilirubinemia, congenital deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

    Dosing and Administration:

Inside, after eating, with plenty of water. Take 2 capsules after 4-6 hours, but no more than 4 times a day, for 3 days. The maximum daily dose is 8 capsules.

    Side effects:

From the cardiovascular and circulatory systems: agranulocytosis (absence or marked decrease of granulocytes in peripheral blood), thrombocytopenia (low platelet counts), thrombocytosis (increasing the number of platelets) giperprotrombinemiya (increase of prothrombin in the blood plasma) erythropenia (decreased red blood cell count), leukocytosis (increase in the number of leukocytes), anemia (reduction of hemoglobin); increased blood pressure, bradycardia, arrhythmia, angina.

From the nervous system and sensory organs: headache, agitation, irritability, restlessness, weakness, dizziness, respiratory depression, tremor (trembling).

On the part of the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (diarrhea).

From the side of metabolism: metabolic disorders, suppression of glycogen synthesis, excessive formation of corticosteroids, sodium and water retention, hypokalemia (decrease in potassium content in blood plasma).

From the genitourinary system: increased or decreased diuresis, damage to the glomerular apparatus of the kidneys, the formation of oxalate urinary stones.

Allergic reactions: skin rash, hyperemia (redness) of the skin.

If any of the side effects listed in the manual are aggravated, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, tell your doctor.

    Overdose:

Symptoms (an overdose is mainly caused by paracetamol): pallor of the skin, anorexia (lack of appetite), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain, increased activity of "liver" transaminases, increased prothrombin time, hepatonecrosis, arrhythmia, ventricular tachycardia, increased blood pressure.

Treatment: on a pre-hospital stage - washing of a stomach, reception of the activated coal. Symptomatic therapy. Antidote paracetamol - acetylcysteine.

In case of overdose, see a doctor.

    Interaction:

If you need to share with other medications, you should consult your doctor.

Stimulants of microsomal oxidation in the liver (phenytoin, ethanol, barbiturates, rifampicin, phenylbutazone, tricyclic antidepressants) increase the production of hydroxylated active metabolites of paracetamol, which allows the development of severe intoxication with small overdoses.

Paracetamol increases the effects of MAO inhibitors, sedatives, ethanol.

Antidepressants, antiparkinsonian, antipsychotic drugs, phenothiazine derivatives increase the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, constipation. Glucocorticosteroids increase the risk of developing glaucoma.

Phenylephrine reduces the hypotensive effect of guanethidine.

Guanethidine increases alpha-adrenostimulating effect, and tricyclic antidepressants - sympathomimetic effects of phenylephrine.

    Special instructions:

The duration of the drug without consulting a doctor should not exceed 3 days.

Distorts the results of laboratory tests evaluating the concentration of glucose and uric acid in the plasma.
