    Pharmacodynamics:

Instenon ® is a combined preparation that improves cerebral circulation and metabolism. Ethamane due to activation of the reticular formation normalizes the functional state of neural complexes of the cortex and subcortical-stem structures.

Hecksbordin improves the utilization of glucose and oxygen by activating anaerobic glycolysis and pentose cycles (realized only under conditions of ischemia and hypoxia, when the cycle of aerobic oxidative phosphorylation is disrupted).

Ethophylline activates myocardial metabolism, increases the minute volume of the heart, which increases the perfusion pressure in the vessels of the marginal zone of ischemia. This does not change the systemic blood pressure.Exciting effect on the nervous system is also manifested in the stimulation of subcortical formations, the midbrain, stem centers and nuclei (respiratory, vasomotor, centers of vegetative regulation, as well as the nuclei of cranial nerves, primarily the wandering ones).

Pharmacokinetics:Special studies to study the pharmacokinetics of the drug Instenon ® was not conducted, due to the lack of necessary pharmacokinetic methods.
Indications:Chronic insufficiency of cerebral circulation, post-stroke states, vertigo of central genesis.
Contraindications:Pronounced agitation, convulsions, epilepsy, increased intracranial pressure, cerebral hemorrhage, hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation, children under 18 years.

As the condition improves, the treatment can be continued with oral forms of the drug (coated tablets).

In some cases, rapid administration can lower blood pressure, so the duration of intravenous injection of one ampoule should be at least 3 minutes.

Side effects:Headache, hyperemia of the face, lowering of arterial pressure, tachycardia (transient).
    Overdose:

Symptoms: tachycardia, increased severity of side effects.

Treatment: gastric lavage, Activated carbon, symptomatic therapy.

    Interaction:

Strengthens the effect of antiplatelet agents (acetylsalicylic acid and etc.).
